  1. So... Cartridge release? Probably not through AA since the characters aren't Atari IP, but maybe a DIY release???
  2. Very nice. On the 2600, I prefer simple games done right over complex games that push things too far. So this was an excellent choice.

    2800?

It was also sold in the US as the Sears Video Arcade II. Unless you really want the Japanese packaging, you can get the Sears version for less.
  4. I like playing 10A. Game 10 for diagonal asteroids and shields (instead of hyperspace). Difficulty A for UFOs.
  5. I'm curious about your copies of Double Dragon and Super Skateboardin. I never saw those labels before. European release?
  6. Oooh, maybe a Sirius Enhanced. It always seemed a bit unfinished to me. Maybe add more power ups, and give it a more reasonable difficulty.
  7. These three are all excellent choices to release. They're all defining games for the 7800. And two of the three cost quite a bit to get in original form. I already have an original Food Fight but I'll be ordering Ninja Golf and Fatal Run for sure.
  8. I've heard this so much over the years, that people can't get used to Q*bert's controls. Just hold the joystick rotated 45 degrees clockwise (with the fire button straight up) and the controls are simple.
  9. 0100000 - Spacemaster X-7, from 20th Century Fox 0100001 - 0100010 - 0100011 - Fire Fighter, from Imagic 0100100 - Spiderdroid, from Froggo (a hack of Amidar, from Parker Bros) 0100101 - Plaque Attack, from Activision 0100110 - 0100111 - Q*Bert 0101000 - 0101001 - 0101010 - Ice Hockey, from Activision 0101011 - Fantastic Voyage, from 20th Century Fox 0101100 - Fast Eddie, from 20th Century Fox 0101101 - 0101110 - Challenge of Nexar, from Spectravision 0101111 - 0110000 - Thunderground, from Sega 0110001 - Mega Force, from 20th Century Fox 0110010 - 0110011 - Space Raid (really a bootleg hack of Activision's Megamania) 0110100 - Pac-Man 0110101 - International Soccer, from Mattel 0110110 - Doneky Kong 0110111 - Laser Gates, from Imagic (my favorite game on today's list) 0111000 - Parachute, from Home Vision. Really annoying sound and music in this one. But if you like the gameplay check out the homebrew Dare Devil. 0111001 - Circus Atari 0111010 - Berzerk 0111011 - 0111100 - Room of Doom, from CommaVid 0111101 - 0111110 - Jawbreaker, from Tigervision. A pretty good Pac-Man but not Pac-Man. 0111111 - Not Moon Patrol, I forget the real name.
  10. 0010111 - Assault, from Bomb software. Sometimes (incorrectly) called Bomb Assault. Very rare in original cartridge form. 0011000- Looks like some kind of bootleg hack of River Raid. 0011011 - Sea Hawk, from Froggo (or Zellers). Sub-par horizontal shooter but it has an interesting party trick. If your plane is hit, the pilot ejects. And if you can steer the parachute to land on a friendly ship (ships the same color as you) then you don't lose a life. 0011010 - Not sure but it might be Space Robot. A bootleg Missile Command hack. 0011100 - Base Attack. Not sure who made it. I think it was a European only release. The last one is a bootleg of Keystone Kapers. Notice they only partially removed the Activision logo in the lower left.
  11. 0010011 - Threshold from Tigervision. Decent vertical shooter actually. Just very difficult on default settings. Play it on 3a instead of 1b. They seem to have gotten the difficulty settings backwards on this one. 0010000 - Sub Scan from Sega. In the same genre as Air Sea Battle and the like, but very slow paced. 0010100 - Missile Control. Meh.
  12. Always liked the Beamrider artwork. Reminds me of 70s/80s prog rock album covers.
  13. Beamrider and HERO are both rather valuable cartridges. Are you sure you want to put repro labels on them? The original labels would have to be really torn up before I put on a repro label.
  14. Highlight the Space Invaders bin file on your Harmony but then instead of pressing the joystick button, press and hold the reset switch. Make sure you hold the reset switch until the game loads.
  15. If you like Astro Blaster and Megamania you should also check out Threshold from Tigervision. Very much like Astro Blaster but de-made for the 2600. One of my favorite 2600 games from the smaller publishers. Note- if you play the default game variation (game 1, difficulty B) it's very hard. For some reason this game got the skill settings backwards. Game 1 B is the hardest. If you start with game 3 A you'll have a better time of it.
