  1. I posted in another thread that I am now using a 5V 3A powered USB hub that supplies 2.4A to the mini. I have 4 joysticks/gamepads, a keyboard, and USB stick connected, and everything works great with no power issues. https://forums.atariage.com/topic/364240-how-do-i-use-a-keyboard/?do=findComment&comment=5442865
  2. I realize this post is over 18 years old, but I have a Haunted Hill story. I remember way back when a friend of mine had just got an Atari 400 from his parents and took me with him to go computer game shopping. He asked what he should get and I recommended Centipede because it was hot at that time. He didn't want to pay the higher price for Centipede and the store clerk suggested Haunted Hill. The clerk showed off the Haunted Hill gameplay for a minute. I recall the clerk telling my friend that it was a good clone of Centipede and that it had good copy protection so that it couldn't be pirated. In hindsight the clerk was wrong on both counts. 🤣 Unfortunately, my friend chose Haunted Hill over Centipede... I was trying to recall the name of the Centipede clone that my friend had purchased when I stumbled upon this thread.
  3. Thank you for the idea. I did the same thing but I had to order a different similar powered USB hub because that one wasn't available on the Canadian amazon site. Two Atari joysticks, two XBox 360 gamepads, a USB keyboard, and a USB memory stick, all working properly with the 400 Mini! The power hub is here: https://www.amazon.ca/Powered-Splitter-Extension-Charging-Independent/dp/B07X91YGG1
  4. I discovered that using the minimum power of 5V and 1A for a USB power adaptor is not enough for both an additional (powered VSB) joystick and a USB stick to add files externally. My unit kept losing the HDMI signal to the TV. I changed my USB power adaptor to one with 5V and 1.2A and now I'm having no problems with an additional joystick and USB stick. It may depend on my setup and perhaps the quality of the USB power adaptor, but now things are working more smoothly.
  5. I agree. When purchasing a second set, I actually got the paddles with the games; it wasn't much more and the paddle only option wasn't available at the time anyways.
  6. Finally available in Canada! CX-78 Gamepad https://www.amazon.ca/Deep-Silver-Cx78-Gamepad-Atari/dp/B0CTJ68R23 Extension Cable https://www.amazon.ca/Extension-Cable-Atari-2600-7800/dp/B0CTJ7K25B CX-30 Paddle Pack (without cartridge) https://www.amazon.ca/Cx30-Paddle-Pack-Atari-2600/dp/B0CTJ6TW43 I'm keeping my US order because it's cheaper, even after the dollar conversion, and I live fairly close to the border, but this is good news for Canadians who can't make the trip to the US to pick up stuff.
  7. I'm finally going after all these years! So looking forward to it! (Should this be posted elsewhere?)
  8. I used my VCSLOVE code to get this last week. I'm happy with my decision so far! Looking forward to the updates! 🏎️
  9. Mine finally arrived last weekend for pick-up, but I wasn't able to get it until today. No update from Atari; it just arrived.
  10. The other two games, Ninja Golf https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CTJ8RP9B and Food Fight https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CTJ8GP5T are now up on Amazon.ca. Accessories still not up yet.
  11. I was finally able to pick up my shipment today. There was no stick in the box. My order said it was fulfilled. I filed a missing package report with UPS. Then I see this thread here at AtariAge. I had a long day and I'm frustrated. Maybe I'll try contacting Atari tomorrow. They should have notified us in advance if part of a shipment is coming later, instead of me trying to find out what happened.
  12. Kind of on topic; can anyone do a comparison of NTSC vs PAL Ballblazer, now that the PAL version is supposedly working. Do they both play at similar speeds? Thanks in advance!
  13. @Ben from Plaion I would love to beta test. I have a few homebrews and third party carts, as well as some PAL carts. I'm out of town now but I'll be back in a few days, if that's okay with you. Otherwise, I can wait for the next round or the retail release.
  14. Congrats to all the winners and thank you @Ben from Plaion for the fun. We are hoping you take more than one suggestion - perhaps as many as possible, into consideration. Cheers!
  15. For those of you who missed Jon's latest video, when you upgrade to firmware v130, you just have to add an "Atari 2600 Paddle" directory in the Games directory and place all 2600 paddle games in it for them to have the full GSP paddle functionality.
