  1. What F#Ready describes here, is both a treasure and entertaining. Let it be said that we were the founders of the Dutch scene in the early 80's - Atariwise.
  2. Hey Marco, It's correct about the SSI (Speed Start Initializer) editor I once wrote, though I cannot provide you wtih any copy of it. Sorry.
  3. A lot of intros were edited and changed or deleted these days by a lot of folks- and I am quite sure that my name has been erased quite a number of times. The reason that Extirpator still has my name in it, is that it is not text but it is a graphic 8 pic. Diffucult to edit when in sector mode. Dump the game on a disk and view the data in graphics 8 and you will see. So, what was your contribution ?
  4. @ Fred_M - Chips die je niet kunt eten.... The recordings took place at the AMC of Amsterdam, top floor. There was a professional recording studio. I was one of the guests showing his creation. Their programs were subsequently aired on radio, and afterwards, these recordings could be loaded by the Atari recorder aka cassette drive. Aired by Vara.... Unfortunately there are no recordings left of these episodes on the internet. Well... somewhere I still do have a copy left on Philips 2000 format, which i won't release Nice topic, though !
  5. Would be great if the iconic Kilroy could give us an affirmative answer ... Is he around ? Anyone ?
  6. Imho, it's like NATO - North Atlantic Treaty Organization, so in this case: North Atlantic Pirate Organization. That's what I can recall. Needs some google- or youtubing to confirm
  7. No. North Atlantic Pirate Organisation is correct. I remember that Kilroy was member of NAPO. Cool cracks. Funny, he calculated the memory start address of the game to load after his intro using the checksum of his own intro-text. Changing his intro text would obviously crash the game. The HTT Big demo used Xor or Eor-ing the system font for encrypting the text: LDA text XOR/EOR sysfont STA screen
  8. Can't recall, sorry. I wrote most of my tools myself; created a disassembler but no assembler. Sorry.
  9. 'never did find how they encrypted the text. All I managed to extract from it using a sector editor was the (very nice) Rebound font.' Funny. I can recall that I suggested to use the 'system font - data' for masking data for the text, being Random but always available.
