Thanks for the info, I'm perplexed!? how can there be a RAM for 130XE within a 800 XL?? thanks for the site (futurlec) where to buy the RAM (the green squares are about 4 or 5 green! all the rest red !! (of the ROM are the two big green) as I understand it I have to take 8 Socket (16 Pin IC Socket) and 8 chip 41256 (41256 Video 256k RAM) but these are larger than those mounted? (should be 8 chip for 8k !?) Thank You Very Much!!!

When power-on atari 800 test goes directly into memory and signals (red squares) ram bad!!?. there is no way to start the basic and I can not see the menu of the self-test, option buttons,select and help are null, I have a activision decathlon cartridge I'll try to get going with it-inserted.
