  1. Hmm, that box is pretty beat up. It is pretty rare to get a complete Lemmings though.... What I did was constantly upgrade until I got what I wanted when I was acquiring a collection. So if it were me I would buy it; then when a better one comes along buy it and sell this one.
  2. Yes, Lemmings can be very hard to find complete.
  3. Now I'm going to have to watch it lol
  4. I found this site looking for re-capping kits but it looks like a good resource for other Lynx parts too. https://console5.com/store/atari-lynx-i-ii-cap-kit.html I liked the detail of this guide too: https://mortoffgames.com/files/Atair_Lynx_II_Capacitor_Replacement_Kit_Installation_Guide.pdf
  5. Just discovered an Atariage member that offers service. Now this is an old "advertisement" but messaging him here through Atariage couldn't hurt. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/245495-service-offered-repaircapacitorsupgrades-for-atari-lynx-and-game-gear/
  6. Lol I know right? Still it is a great resource. I bought a brand new, sealed in box, Lynx from them years ago. I forget the price but it was well worth it. I would be looking for various things when I was collecting for the 2600 and Lynx, site can be painful to navigate, but there are treasures throughout. The times I called he was great help. Alright enough advertising for them lol. To be honest I kinda like the website. It seems fitting to me considering what they service.
  7. Best Electronics really can't be over looked for this category. I don't believe they offer repair services but they have any and every part I have ever needed, not just for the Lynx but any Atari system. It can be a pain to order from them, their site is as retro as the stuff they sell. Best bet is to call. I've heard he (the main guy running it) can be tempermental and just refuse to sell to you if you piss him off, but I have had nothing but good experiences with him. http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/lynx.htm
  8. Just saw this today: https://www.amazon.com/Atari-Capacitor-Repair-power-sound/dp/B01N1A045W This is fantastic for beginner diy. Just buy the kit and follow the guides!
  9. The jewel cases are useless. Offers no protection for the cart and half the time you can't get the case to close if the cart is in it!
  10. Stumbled across this today. very nice guide, including re-capping. https://www.igorkromin.net/index.php/2017/09/11/atari-lynx-repair-part-1-introduction-and-case-disassembly/ I also remembered eStarland offers some repairs. I've never used them but they have been offering the service for quite some time. https://www.estarland.com/product-description/Repairs/Atari-Lynx-Repairs-Audio--Video-Problems/53662
  11. I noticed a number of people asking for repair support. I did a little searching and there doesn't seem to be a lot out there specifically for the Atari Lynx. I did find this guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Atari_Lynx It looks like it covers a lot of the basic repairs that the Lynx may need and would be really useful for those willing to get their hands dirty. As I stumble across other resources I'll post them on this thread.
  12. Awesome I'm glad my little project got some use ??
  13. Very nice! I attempted a project like this a number of years ago but.... let's just I lost steam. The skeletal remnants haunt Atariage to this day lol
  14. Amazing work, beautiful job on the releases as always ??
  15. A little update, it has been a few months since I did the cooling mod on my Switch and it still works great! Even overclocked it doesn't get hot and the fan is hardly noticeable. Now you may be asking "why a Nintendo Switch post in an Atari forum?" Because the Switch is a BEAST of an Atari machine! While I always play my 2600, Lynx, etc. in handheld mode on the go, it works just as well docked and up on the big screen!
