  1. Which games have issues on the Jr. Model? Get those working, if possible and if they aren't already, just to peeve a select few of the nay-sayers.
  2. Saaaay, I like the configuration of your connector! Anyways, I will probably give and get my Own Glowy Plus thingamabob to set up for casual pick up and play by some of my extended family on stop-overs pretty soon ish, even though I have multiple original consoles.
  3. It may not have the impact of old, but just saw an article posted over on slashdot.org, discussing this unit, and the plusses and minuses of these plug and play, versus modding older hardware.
  4. One word : Kerplunkie! /escapes in a pod/
  5. You'd be surprised how many people around the world make do with an Android or Apple phone. I would think, as long as there is an option to either browse the 2600+ directory through a USB C/or B to C adapted connected device and drop any downloaded firmware there, or have it on external flash device (have it be the only file or have an appropriately set up folder system) ,then flash/boot it, things would be fine. I have a feeling, though, that it needs an active external push, through proprietary software.
  6. For the 2600/+, maybe work out whatever issues there were regarding.rights, etc and finally release the Home Star Runner RPG that seemed to have promise, but was subsequently abandoned. A bit kitsch, now, but we like that, don't we?
  7. Following! : mischievous eyebrow wiggle:
  8. For me, the cut-outs on the top surface of the Joy-pads always bothered my thumbs. If one were to recreate the looks, one could use color or a light texture under the buttons, instead. And yes, the D-Pad doesn't have to be that slavishly faithful, either, just comfortable to use.
  9. Even among the smallest commercial CRT tubes ever made, there would need to be uhhh, a certain heft and thickness with considerations to the case design. Though I do kind of like the idea of a monical/telescopic game, with uniquely designed controls around the circumference of the device.
  10. Hmmm, MST3K Season 14 fundraiser is live.

      Nice!

Side note:  Am I the only one who sees the disconnect on things like this?  (Not around here I'm not but ..to continue).  In General,  We end up having to fund the things we like ourselves!  Meanwhile we BEG them not to do remakes and reboots of our faves from the 80's and they do it anyways...

  11. Goodness, imagine if it were possible to compile a version of RC to run on one of the modern gfx cards, with their various compute cores. They could probably tear through the workload. (Dunno anything technical about it, really, just guessing.)
  12. Do feel teased, sometimes, but have noticed that each successive product uses/introduces bits and pieces of some architecture, that might ultimately lend themselves to fulfilling Kevtris' original ambition. When they finally sign off on that, if ever, though ...
  13. Worm Quartet version. Timothy Crist recently released a new album of stuffs.
  14. Well, that took a sharp turn. I take it back. Go back to silliness (Or techno-babblage. Or not being good conversationalists or too useful, such as myself. )) Welp. ::flees::
