Young Pauline is trying to raise funds to help refurbish her great grandfathers grave, that of film pioneer Georges Méliès ('A trip to the Moon') https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2036153312/save-the-grave-of-georges-melies-the-cinema-pionee/description

For a second I misread it as Pauline is raising funds to build a sanctuary for old gorillas.

Not sure I'm interested in spending my money of refurbing a stranger's grave. Shit. I know people that keep their loved ones in a plastic bag because they don't have money for a proper burial.

Think Pauline has taken up the role of ambassador for him and this is a bit of a start for her. Most of George's original negatives were junked for the silver, so only a third of his films exist at all, and in far-less-than-pristine form, most of any land-marks to him have been demolished, so his grave is one a few pilgrim spots. A shame, really. I have the same reservations and the reward tiers are a bit puzzling, but a couple of post-cards are np.

Given the choice between that and yet another dodgy indie game console, I'd put my Kickstarter money toward that every time.

Searching for "Atari" , I've found myself learning much about the conflict along the Indian / Pakistani border.

I had a dream once where the telescope was a huge potato gun. It was all very nebulous thanks for reading.

Awww, Sky...the New Aibo is just adorable...and too expensive, for me anyway, but for a robot of its type, might please an enthusiast.

"Our survival hinges on one thing: finding someone who not only can fly this plane, but didn't have fish for dinner."

A goofy line, but NOT from "Airplane." It was from "Zero Hour," the 1957 movie that was the most direct inspiration for "Airplane."
