  1. Yeah especially since the most recent one to sell in that condition on the 'bay went for almost $300.
  2. Going to expand a little because this includes everything I got this week. Just got the 3 loose carts there and the stack of boxed games at the front for a total of $60.
  3. Local pawn shop - two bucks. http://i.imgur.com/cg7onUz.jpg
  4. Turrican III is an enhanced Mega Turrican, sort of.
  5. Two reasons you should never get the ATGames Genesis: (VA4 Model 2 is first, ATGames is second - using normal Sonic 3 cart) (Again the VA4 is first - the ATGames system version starts at about 1:04)
  6. This thread hurts my very soul. Turrican is an outstanding game - one of the greatest run and gun platformers ever made. The Sega Genesis version, however, is not. It's a shoddy port. A REALLY shoddy port. Bad music, bad sound, and they made the game MUCH more difficult than it is supposed to be since the player's health runs down at about double the speed it's supposed to. With enough practice the game can be an enjoyable challenge, but it's really best to stay away from this version. I still love it because I grew up with the game on Atari ST but that version was WAAAAYYYY better. Me playing it on the Genesis: Somebody playing the far superior Amiga version:
  7. At a local pawn shop today I found what appears to be a couple of Activision prototype carts. They have blank red labels and one of them has a sticker on the end reading AX-016 STAR MASTER™. Upon booting them up the one is indeed Star Master and the other appears to be Chopper Command. I can't tell if there is anything different about the games, but I'm including a video of them both in play along with a photo of the carts...
  8. Picked up an in-box Retro Duo Portable 2.0 with the NES adapter and controllers for $12 at the same pawn shop I found the CDX at. My luck has to run out soon >___________> Also got an audiophile PSX for $5 and that came with a free neGcon :0
  9. Oh hell no. I've wanted a CDX for some time. I almost have every Genesis hardware and add on now! (Only missing the actual CD bases because I've done all of my CD stuff on my X'eye until now) Thanks for the offer though
  10. Local pawn shop find... $16. All cords. Works perfect. Battery cover in tact. Also had a 32X sitting in it. There was a Saturn NetLink in the same box. SIXTEEN DOLLARS.
  11. Well let's just consider that this is from October 2012...
  12. He is an extremely well behaved child - he never touches anything on the shelves and doesn't even bother with them anymore. Everything has the switches and outlets to be hooked up but usually anything I play is connected to a powered av/svideo repeater that sends to both TVs and the USB capture device on my computer because I record a lot for my YouTube channel. Thanks for the kind words!
  13. My collection has grown considerably since the last time I made a post in this forum, so after rearranging things this weekend I figured I'd show you guys what I have going on. I also desperately need a new set of shelves as I'm out of space for practically every system (especially NES, that shelf is two cart lengths deep with games right now...) The images are fairly huge so instead of blind you all with massive pictures in the post I have them all shared in this album, so check it out and let me know what you think!
  14. Good to know, thank you! I'll let you know how it goes.
  15. I'm 29. I grew up with an Atari 2600, then an Atari 800xl followed by an Atari ST. Most of my cousins and frienss also had Master Systems (I grew up in England). Most of the people I know haven't played anything older than a Super Nintendo or Genesis. A lot of the people I meet have never even seen a Master System. That makes me feel old.
