#4261059 "Three more titles coming soon"

I'm curious what cartridge technology these rereleases will use.  JLP, or something else?

They will be on JLP tech.

#4254882 Hard drive usage in the 80's and 90's?

Bob also sent me one of the 8" drives when I bought the Black Box.  It was 100 megs.  I remember when it died.  My Friend Russ (RIP) were gaming and we heard a whir that was getting louder and louder, but before we could remove power we heard a zip-ping.  It was one of the heads coming off.  That was the end of that drive.

I had the black box in the late 80s and knew about the MIO.  There is also the Hard Drive Interface for the ATR8000. I have one of those now.

I will still be collecting and participating on AA, only on a more limited basis.

Over the next few weeks/months I will be stepping back from being involved with Elektronite and new game sales.

I will maintain sales with past games until William can get set up to take over sales.  I do not want to stop the flow of income for Elektronite.

This is an amicable departure.  Real life is getting more and more necessary with me and I need some breathing space.

I will not be selling any more Ninja Odyssey carts. All ROM purchases have been turned over to William, and the carts will be removed from my website when I can get some time.

Time to list the "Unable to list" game now that it has been on eBay twice?

You are correct!  It is now listed.

#4232799 Possible to reassign HD drive letters?

Posted by SoulBuster on Tue Mar 5, 2019 4:07 PM

For HDDriver:

There is a check box to preserve existing drives.  I do not have the software in front of me and I cannot remember where it is at.  It is not in the menu, but rather on one of the screens after clicking one of the menu choices under partitions.  You need to find that and make sure it is checked.  Leave that screen and then do an auto config and see if that helps.

It was released as a PCB board only.  The buyer had to supply the cart and others came up with the box, manual and overlays?

#4225094 Ninja Odyssey for sale starting 2/23/2019

While going through the questions, I asked myself another question, "What if they bought the Cart Only and bought the ROM later?".  There was nothing setup to get the ROM at a discount.

Now there is.  It now works both ways. If you buy the ROM only, you can see the Cart Only at $30 immediately after purchase.  If you buy the Cart Only, you can see the ROM Only at $10 immediately after purchase.

Also, while editing the discounts, I found that Internet Explorer had problems so I changed to Microsoft Edge which worked fine.  I do not know if those problems will extend to the purchasing end, so to be safe, try to use a browser other than Internet Explorer.

What if someone has more than one LTO Flash! cartridge?

If you want Ninja Odyssey on more than one LTO Flash cart, you will need to buy that many ROMS and submit each of your LTO Flash IDs.  But remember, one discount per customer for the physical version when buying ROM only.  You can get the discount on all of them by purchasing the cart + ROM option at $50 multiple times.

Sorry for my ignorance but just wanted to check. If I buy the cart and LTO rom tomorrow, do I then get a $10 discount when and if the box, manual and overlays are released?

The $10 discount is already factored into the CART + ROM Purchase.

Cart alone $40

ROM alone $20

That adds up to $60

CART and ROM together $50.

Elektronite is proud to present Ninja Odyssey for your enjoyment.

The people from the remote village of Teguma always lived in peace and harmony but a few weeks ago all the animals begun to act aggressively and started attacking without provocation.

Short after the villagers started to feel weak, sick, as if the life was being sucked out of them.

They discovered that 3 ancestral ghosts entered our plane of existence through the 3 temples on the Teguma valley and they were draining the life force of all humans in order to return to life.

But by the time they found out about the ghosts it was too late, everyone was too weak to do anything against them...

Everyone except for one:

The young Ninja Kasuhiro Kun still stands and he must travel to the 3 temples in order to defeat the ghosts before his life force is drained completely!

And so, the biggest odyssey of his life begins!

Video of Nija Odyssey:

#4224324 What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?

Posted by SoulBuster on Thu Feb 21, 2019 9:51 AM

I bought an MFM/RLL to SD Adapter. It was expensive, but I wanted it to put in a MegaFile 30 that has no hard drive.  I imagine it will also work with a Black Box or MIO and a Bridge host adapter (Adaptec 4000a or 4070 or other).
