  1. This is such a great game! It's crazy how often I get stuck, come back later, finish the level and wonder why I thought it was so hard the first time. It causes a lot of "just one more try" attempts in a session. Thanks!
  2. They have 12 foot cables in stock: http://herculesworkshop.com/cgi-bin/p/awtp-product.cgi?d=hercules-workshop&item=82084 If you search for Atari they also have 25 foot cables.
  3. I spent days trying to install a UAV in an 800xl. It's a very simple install but it just wouldn't work. Went over it multiple times confirming my installation with the manual and the long thread here on AA. Moved on to an upgrade of a 400 in frustration. Once that was done I took another crack at the 800xl. I was looking at it through magnifying goggles ('cause I'm old) when I realized that the UAV had Rev C printed on the board and the instructions were all for Rev D. Ugh!
  4. Jeez, how did the best topic on Atariage turn into a bunch of old men whining about "kids today" and "the good ol' days when I was a kid", like every generation before them? Can everybody please keep their parenting advice on Facebook, which seems purpose built for whining, and try to focus on Atari here?
  5. Hi all, I'm completely new to programming EPROMs. My Rana has an Intel P2372A-3 that has no window in it. Does that mean it's not reprogrammable? If not are other erasable 2732s compatible? Also, if anyone offers a EPROM reprogramming service that ships in/to Canada I'd really appreciate not buying more devices... More specifically, my wife would really appreciate it. Thanks your help, Greg
  6. I built this back in the day. Wish I'd kept it. I still have the old Realistic speaker that I used.
  7. I also support new posts for updates!
  8. If you're not comfortable making your own power cable, a couple of vendors have pre made USB to Atari (600XL, 800XL, 65XE, 130XE, or XEGS) power cables. You just need a 2 amp or higher USB power supply with these: https://www.8bitclassics.com/product/atari-xl-xe-usb-power-cable/ https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/atari-800-xl-xe-xel-xld/products/atari-xl-xe-replacement-power-via-usb

I bought a 800 keyboard from adam242. He was a pleasure to deal with. The keyboard was packaged very securely and it arrived to Canada from the US very quickly! Thanks for all of your help! Greg
  10. I'm hoping to find a replacement S key for an 800 (not XL). Might also be interested in a full replacement working keyboard. I'm in Ontario, Canada but would be looking for one anywhere. Thanks for your help! Greg
  11. I don't know if this will help you, but I have a 400 that turns on with a green screen. However, it works every time if I squeeze the top and bottom of the case near the power switch when turning it on. I've reseated chips, used contact cleaner on the connectors and reflowed much of the solder in that area and nothing has fixed it yet. At least I feel like I'm narrowing in on the problem. Good luck with this project. You did an amazing job cleaning it up.
  12. I have the Pro as well and could not be happier with it! They come with the original firmware installed. There have been regular updates since its release that greatly improve its features. More info here: https://www.retrotink.com/post/retrotink-2x-pro-firmware-update-v1-1
  13. Horrible news. My condolences to his family and friends
