  1. Not sure if anyone else has been searching for this book like me, but someone finally uploaded a copy! https://bifftech.com/Alien_Defense_Commented_Larry_Ashum.pdf This is a very rare TRS-80 book. Here's a description of what it is: http://www.trs-80.org/alien-defense-commented/ I found the link on Reddit and figured I'd post it on AtariAge for anyone else who has been looking for it! From the Reddit post: " Courtesy of Karl Von Winkle on FB - he posted this pdf to one of the TRS-80 groups. I'll host it on my site in until someone gets it properly on archive.org "
  2. Yes, you’re correct. C65 & C66. I thought something was off yesterday when I typed it.
  3. I recently installed one in a CoCo3. Works great! Just be aware you have to cut 2 resistors on your PCB for it.
  4. OK not sure exactly what you’re doing, but you have to save the object code after a successful assembly. So start over, load the source, assemble the source, if successful, save the object code.
  5. Oh, there's several ways to do it, but assuming you've assembled the source and saved the object code (something.o) file from Merlin you then: load "something.o",8,1 Then if you didn't have an ORG statement in your code (it defaults to $8000) you would type: sys 32768
  6. Hey, that's OK, I should have realized the PS5 is still hard to find. I haven't purchased Diablo II: Resurrected yet either.
  7. Yes, this product (A2560K) isn't intended for everyone of course and she makes that fact well known. Most folks will be fine with a U or U+ (4 MB RAM). It has most of the features of the expensive version, minus stuff like a floppy drive, real keyboard, dual SID sockets, midi ports and that sort of thing. I'm not buying an A2560K either But I do have a 68K U and a GenX on order. I encourage anyone that is curious or wants to know why the stuff is so expensive to join the live Q&A tonight on YouTube and find out direct from the A2560K creator.
  8. Stefany will be hosting a live Q&A tonight on YouTube for anyone that has questions regarding the A2560K. It shows for me as 9 PM EDT.
  9. There is already an FPU in the design, it’s part of the FPGA. I’m sure she had her reasons for choosing what she has.
  10. I'm not really qualified to answer these questions. I do know the A2560K will ship with MC68040RC25V installed and she is going to test the MC68040RC40V to make sure it works. But those are over $320 for the 40 Mhz version.
  11. There’s an FPU in the FPGA (GABE). Are you asking a question? Or just pointing something out?
  12. With the MPI you can use multiple items at once, like a CoCo SDC along with a real floppy controller for instance. So not just about switching cartridges, but that is a nice feature as well because it saves wear and tear of the PCB slot.
  13. Here is a quick video Stefany uploaded that shows a close-up of the keyboard, PCB etc. from the A2560K: You can actually see a clear pic of the PCB on her Twitter, but I can't figure out how to link it here. I think Twitter made some changes on their end. If you didn't already see her presentation from VCF East on Sunday, here is the link. You can see the A2560K info at the end of her time slot.
