In Topic: THE!CART... New 128MB FLASH Cartridge

While I wait for my v2 THE!CART, I went and stole the lettering off of the v2 shell and modified the newer v1 shell with it.

Looks very good! You really seem to like the new minimalistic logo and design. :-)

If you enhance the temperature of your print bed to 70 degrees Celsius, maybe you can get the same glossy surface that we produce here.

I don't think it will. And putting the PCB inside without protection would be dangerous since any kind of contact with the enclosing / touching it with fingers/static can cause damage.

If it is important to you, I can offer you send the V1 and we'll send a V2 if you compensate for the shippment & price difference.

And don't forget the modification that is necessary for the!cart (V1 or V2) to work in the Atari 800.

the!cart V1 _will_ work in the Atari 400 without modification with the lid open and something fumbled into the switch hole to constantly press it down.

I don't understand why it would be one-by-one if you select all in the finder. And knowing part of the name is easy, because they are either .rom.car or .atr. I'll check on my Mac the next day. Maybe I misunderstand your problem...

I can't recheck at the moment but I am sure I could only drag a single program into the Cart Window. Multiples did not work.

I always do it with a Mac. No problems to select hundreds of files at a time and drag it to theCartStudio.

I've just seen your new game "Rocks n saucers"(?) at Vectrex Roli. But only a little bit of it. I'm waiting for years for a perfect asteroids on the vectrex as I also have two original Asteroids cabinets from 1979.

The game looks so great! Is it finished already? Will it be a Vecfever exclusive?

Thank you....

In Topic: FATsort for BSD, Linux, Mac OS X and UNIX

It's clearly likely to be a super-unreliable tip, but on my Mac I found that using the Finder to move all the files off a FAT drive and then them back on had the effect of sorting them into name order*. So try that if FATsort ever becomes unmaintained or is otherwise unavailable.

This works for me with OSX El Capitan. But it works _not_ on my other Mac with High Sierra. :-(
