  1. Hi group, Has anyone used one of these on a Tandy 1000? If so, does it work, is it a good option, etc? http://www.ebay.com/itm/XT-CF-Lite-Compact-Flash-8-bit-ISA-IDE-Adapter-Version-4-1-With-Boot-ROM-/122152037569?hash=item1c70d42cc1:g:ZWwAAOSwmLlX6B2m I have a Tandy 1000TX with a single floppy. I need to figure out how best to move forward with this machine. I really don't want to put a mechanical hard drive in the machine. Playing games is a pain currently with only one floppy. Thanks, James
  2. Just getting back to this Tandy 1000TX project I picked up a while back. I'd like to install a USB floppy emulator. Before I start, has anyone here done this with a 1000TX? Thanks, James
  3. I never mentioned a list. I mentioned a preorder. If the preorder IS a list then this is the list I need to be placed on.
  4. Can you please add me to the preorder? I've been watching this since I played the demo at the Portland show last year.
  5. Agreed on Armor Ambush, love that game (and I played Combat from launch). Video Olympics is great too.
  6. My asteroids deluxe arcade is down, monitor issue. So, I booted the Space Rocks cart I picked up at PGRE last year. You guys did an amazing job on this game, it's excellent!
  7. Game is still so awesome. When will be able to buy a boxed copy?
  8. Setup my NES tonight and played Gotcha! Fun game and the different environments are cool.
  9. Oops, no I pulled an earlier version from the thread. I'll check out the latest build. Thanks!
  10. I know I'm WAY late to the party here. I played a version at the Portland Retro show at the Atari Age booth last year (2012). I've been looking here for the physical game but it never showed up. I finally picked up a harmony cart JUST to play this game on hardware. You did an amazing job on this. It's outstanding. Hats off!!! I will certainly pick up the physical cart when it is out. It's probably best this didn't come up when I was a kid, I probably would have flunked out of school.
  11. Cool, thanks guys for the quick answers. This is what I figured.
  12. No, he didn't work in gaming and didn't know anyone at activision (I'm guess, we lived in Tulsa). He would bring home eproms for us and we had a cart with a zif socket. I typically have a good memory, but I don't remember where this cart came from. The eprom is perfectly soldered on this board so it's probably an overwrite of some other gaeme. Also, if it was some sort of prototype would the metal shield be over the eeprom?
  13. That's what I figured, the hand cut PCB edges and hand written number made me think maybe it was special. In any case, it's a great game!
  14. I pulled out my 2600 stuff today from my childhood days and noticed this cart. I opened it up and took a couple photos. My best buddy's dad was an electronics guy and he would bring home games on eeproms and things, so I just figured this was some hack cart from way back. Any chance it might be more than a hack? The number on the back of the cart is:AG-910-02A When I turn the game on, it looks complete as I remember the game. Thanks, James
