  1. Quite late feedback. I have since sent my Mini back to Amazon. For this proud price (most mini consoles are significantly cheaper), the system simply offers too little. Too little testing (-> poor hardware that should never have passed QA), loveless presentation (the interface is rather mediocre, no manuals etc.), very mediocre games (and again disastrous QA -> partly wrong or hacked files) and generally an input lag that I found annoying (which didn't improve even with various tricks). The great case and the beautiful packaging alone are simply not enough. I will follow closely how Atari addresses the problems with the manufacturer and how the buyers are compensated (i.e. -> better software, replacement of the controllers, etc.), maybe I will then get the system again. If not, I'll eventually buy a used system cheaply on eBay to put on the shelf with the other mini consoles. Too bad.
  2. There are not many complains regarding input lag. For me almost all action games are barley playable (most prominent Millipede for me). Is it just me or is there something I can do to reduce the lag?
  3. Ok, I have now played various games for about 1 hour (only the pre-installed ones, PAL) and my first impression is rather sobering. - MULE doesn't seem to have been tested very well. 2 crashes, display errors in the store, Wumpus hunt success screen shredded - Missile Command very imprecise controls or the stick feels bad - M49 input lag and imprecise controls - Millipede not playable. Controls are a disaster. - Berzerk is also difficult (lag) As I said, this is my first impression. I haven't tested the optional input options yet and I'll have to take another look at the games in Altirra. Maybe I have the wrong memories. I'll connect my 130XE battleship later and check that out again. The front end makes a good impression. But the lags are really bad, I'm very sensitive to that. But as I said, I'll have to take a bit more time and compare.
  4. Well, many doesn't belong here by 100%. What do you think should get a brush up as well?

  9. Wouldn't it be possible to use a Orange Pi Zero2? It's cheaper the the Pi3 & Pi4, and should have enough power to run Stella. General MAME Emulator Benchmark comparing several microcomputers.
  10. Absolutely, the cartridge selectors are really obscure. I guess they are all inspired by the shop displays and thought it's a good idea to bring it to home for whatever reasons. As for the Unimex: It uses the power supply of your 2600 so it should be 100% compatible with 110v. The cards themselves work for NTSC & PAL, depending on the ROM you copy.
