  1. Opening them up is very hard, I'm sure you can find a tutorial online. Most include using a rotary tool to saw the box, permanently making it look like a hack job. The truth is they weren't made to be repaired/worked on. You're better off buying another one online in my opinion.
  2. If 333% the original price after less than a year isn't overpriced then where to draw the line? For the record my original post wasn't a critique, it's only a bummer I missed the game by less than a year and must now pay a quarter grand to even consider TRYING it that's all. Cheers.
  3. Of course, but I wasn't on AA back then.
  4. It kills me that I didn't get the chance to buy a Boulder Dash cart and must now find an insanely overpriced cart. Last one I saw was 250$ The fact that I can't play it on Harmony is sad.
  5. I'd donate money for an "overpriced" homebrew if that means we can stop killing common carts and get an Atari style mold.
  6. Maybe a plugin for the Retrode! https://www.retrode.org
  7. This is absurd. Every manufacturers BUT Apple are flocking to this touch screen PC thing (especially with Windows 8 ). In fact Apple's computer business is doing much better than anybody else's. But let's not start this conversation.
  8. Any hope for a good multiplatform bB IDE, or at least one under OS X?
  9. Would like to have a final answer on this. Or, ideally, a patch or fixed rom!
  10. I speak from experience, I have a light and a heavy sixers in boxes here and another (mint) heavy sixer right next to my (CRT) TV. The most I've heard about it is how old it was and how shitty the games looked. Others sometime come over for 4 players Medieval Mayhem. I imagine (hope!) your experience will be similar.
  11. I've just had an idea for collision detection. What if you only checked for collision on every other frame? The one with the red on Mario happens to be the one with the smaller (details) barrel sprite. This would make it so (maybe!) you could jump over a barrel without going left or right. I don't even know if that's possible, and if it is, if you're already doing it. Just an idea I'm throwing in there.
  12. Honestly, any Atari will be fine. Most if not all won't even know/care what it is. It's not because YOU find it valuable that OTHERS will.
  13. Indeed, look at the little tabs on the bottom. You have to click the joystick to get to the 2600 games, otherwise it's all arcade.
  14. Very nice, but something feels wrong about the jumps. In the arcade you could jump on the spot, without moving left or right, and jump over a barrel, which is impossible here.
