173470 If you move just left and right in good timing, the dragons shots will never take you down. You just need to be out of phase with the dragon, as in when he is the farthest to the right, you need to be all the way to the left, and vise versa. There is a method to pick up the treasures foolproof every time. Maybe I should make another video about it, but I don’t know if I can do that before the weekend is over. I can show my method now because even though it’s he same as in my original video, I really didn’t explain it well with my 13 year old vocabulary. There are ways to not get screwed by the cheap deaths too. The diagonal movement is 10x easier with a joystick, especially one with short throws. I feel like I’m better at this game now than I was then, but I can’t buy a new joystick and have to take this one apart multiple times a game. Im confused as to why no one has posted, I feel like they all have high scores on their backlog but their not going to post until Sunday night or something. Sorry about this post being too long.

Check out this vid I made when I was 13. It’s very cringy for me to watch but the tips are the ones I use: Also I hate hate hate the sega genesis controller. The d-pad is like a big mushy button, and it’s completely useless for fast movement games like this.

I now remember why I stopped playing Atari 5ish years ago... because every damn controller I bought broke! On this game I made it to about 60k after losing 2 lives, but then the upper left position on my star fighter stopped working, and the left position became super spotty. This caused me to lose 3 lives on the bridge because my little man stopped moving and 2 lives in the lair because instead of going up and left, my little man just went up. Super annoying having to take apart the joystick after every game, only for it to break halfway through the next one. I’ll figure it out eventually though. 91680

I am so so happy it is dragonfire haha I missed it earlier this season and hopefully I can make a new record. I was about to suggest that we play cosmic ark game 4, since that game is so difficult that it makes it so that you can’t get past the 2nd or 3rd planet, which makes it so that you kinda have to leech, however you won’t be able to play it for hours because you’ll die so quickly. Just putting that thought out there in case we can’t do dragonfire for the 2nd time in the same season. But if we are doing dragonfire I am beyond excited!

Certainly a very fun game that I have completely overlooked. I moved recently and brought all of my Activision games except for this and spider fighter. Good thing I have it now!

Recently started getting back into Atari games again after watching king of Kong a few months ago... happy to see my dragonfire record from when I was 14 or 15 is still alive haha, hopefully someone will beat it soon.
