  1. Nvm on the 1040 STe ... wife disapproves ... no go for me. Apologies!
  2. Found a nice doc about the “frustrations” of writing ste/tt/falcon compatible sw. https://temlib.org/AtariForumWiki/index.php/Atari_STE_FAQ_compiled_by_The_Paranoid_/_Paradox Did not realize tt only features were deeper than just some more screen resolutions.
  3. I assume the above wrt hdd and controller is for the mega ste as the 1040ste has neither afaik.
  4. You may want to double check, I've seen higher as well but those were cases that included monitor, let’s see the experts here what they think. I suggest you find ways to check the ram, that can help position them better The mega ste with TOS 2.06 have a self check for that.
  5. Quick check on eBay for sold working mega ste indicates 750us$ and above for 4MB and hdd but there aren’t a lot to compare so you have to check around yourself. Note that the keyboard for the mega ste is the tt type (small function keys) vs the one you show that is for the mega (slanted function keys like the all in one units 520/1040). Kb are interchangeable so not sure it’ll change the final value … the one you show misses a key so there’s that. For less mem and no hdd I don’t know. 1040ste with 4MB seems to hover on the 300us$ and above, just as a reference, no idea with stock 1MB. I’ll let the local experts chime in on reasonable pricing, as I said I only quickly checked “sold” on eBay.
  6. Terrific … how much mem on that one? It should have an Harddrive too unless it’s the 1MB version that has neither drive nor controller according to Wikipedia.
  7. Wrt total sales to be fair in the Americas the snes/md race was a tie, in Europe the md won by about 50%, in JP the snes mopped the floor 5:1 because reasons. These are sales numbers split by region: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles_by_region JP alone accounts for 13.5M of the total WW sales diff of 18M https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles … so unless you lived in JP the md was on equal footing with the snes … at least wrt actual sales.
  8. The latest fw has support for most cd games but it doesn’t work 100% … @SainT stated he should get back at it soon and already showed WTR running (which was one of the games that dit not work). By “load” what do you mean? It’s true you can’t have the JagGD on top of the JagCD.
  9. @ColecoGamer https://www.neo-geo.com/forums/index.php?threads/neo-cd-error.132015/ in specific https://www.neo-geo.com/forums/index.php?threads/neo-cd-error.132015/#post-1876732
  10. No clue, I’d suggest you join neo-geo dot com forums and ask there @madman may also know or help figuring out if you have a fake or maybe your CDZ doesn’t like that particular cd. If you look through the cd towards a bright light do you see pinholes? (that’d be rot damage in case).
  11. Yours is 001E which was the code for the English export
  12. I am sure I burnt my own CD of it but not sure I tested it on a CDZ (I have both a TL and a CDZ)… point being it should work fine so if it’s a fake they have done a poor job.
  13. Actually they settled that https://www.neo-geo.com/forums/index.php?threads/neo-geo-cdz-single-or-double-speed-lets-discuss.256310/ and it is 2x … my bad.
