  1. Before that, their online store has had them on permanent "back order" for years. Nintendo didn't exactly support it when the cube was still manufactured with the port. It is very unlikely they will bother now. I guess it depends on the game and personal experience. For example, F-Zero looks better on hidef. However, Zelda Wind Waker actually looks worse. The crude simplicity of the character models stand out with sore jaggies that were not apparent on a normal tv. The blur filter helped a lot to hide this flaw, but not so much on hidef. What I have noticed is that HDTV support in games has steadily dropped. It is not as supported as it was before the model revision. Most games that provide hidef are from the early years. Another interesting bit is that there is not one 1st party Nintendo game that offers widerscreen mode. You get 480p but no aspect correction. Very poor indeed. Supposedly if you call their customer service you can arrange to replace your hidef challenged cube with the older model that has it. Don't know if its true though.
  2. Do a search for 360's XBCD drivers. That will solve your problem.
  3. Looks great. I seen it hooked with a RF adapter. Image quality is just as you would expect from such a connection. Don't know about the stretched problem someone else reported. You have to setup the machine accordingly to avoid that.
  4. I could say the same for a couple of Nintendo titles. I guess God of War is just a great and very well polished game. It's not everyday you see a new franchise being born either.
  5. You know any anaglyphic glasses will work the same. Some of these can be bought for cheap. Ask neighbors or friends with kids if they went to see any recent 3D movie and if they still have the discardable carton glasses from the theater... Or ask in you local teather if they have some lying around. They are not so hard to make yourself either.
  6. Haven't bought from them but they if they say their kits are HID compliant then you should not have any problems (or worry about drivers). As far as configuring mame controls head over to easyemy tutorials for help: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/

  8. Opera and Nintendo in bed together? Sounds odd, but considering Opera's presence in the cell phone browser sector then it isn't that far off. They already the shrinking technology and have mouse gestures which I guess could be adapted to the touchscreen. Then again if the DS a gaming only device it would be interesting to know Nintendo's sudden change of heart by giving it browsing capability.
  9. Looks interesting. I'll try it out. Have you played Clash'n'Slash? It's a 2D asteroid-type game with lots of eye candy explosions.
  10. If it comes to the worst maybe it is better to buy a used SNES instead of throwing money at repair solutions.
  11. I remember someone asking this same question a few years ago. Someone posted some photos and a link to an exaggerated video switcher unit (expensive and obviously made for professional use). Search and you shall find.
  12. There were many but a couple of N64 games went the same route. That last year or so for the N64 must have been very bad for 3rd party devs.
  13. You can try using a can of compressed air on the consoles cart connector. You can clean it with a game cleaning kit (or making something on your own that can fit on the SNES cart opening. You could try get a replacement SNES connector from MCM Electonics (if they have them).
  14. They do that all the time. Although unlikely, could it have been a labeling error?
