Thanks, crash, I have been trying to get my Atari 800 non-XL to work with the SIO2IDE for a long time. I read your post and got out the soldering iron. It worked great. Thank you so much for your post. As far as I know this is the only way to get the SIO2IDE drive to autoboot. Without this mod, I could only get the SIO2IDE to work as a slave with a 5.25 disk set as the master drive. I had also tried to power the drive with another power supply, but was never able to get it to work this way.
