  1. Thank You Everyone! I was very surprised about the offer on Boing!. I typically valued it, myself, at around $350 - $400 and it was one of my favorite CIB games. I wasn't too keen on selling it, so I put a $1,250 BIN, just to see what offers came in, since I hadn't seen one on the auction block in a while. When the $725 came over, it was just too good to turn down. I was surprised again a few months ago when I saw a CIB Mr. Do's Castle go for over $800 at auction, so some of these R8's are really getting up there! Thanks again for your kindness and speak soon!
  2. Hi Everyone! My partner is selling a few pieces of my collection on Ebay, with the auction ending Sunday around 7pm. 3. He said he didn't know how to price it. I'd offer $250 or so and just go from there. I saw another one up on Ebay about 8 weeks ago, but forgot to check what it sold for.
  4. I'm strictly a 2600 collector, so I'd be interested in any boxed games you may have for sale. Could you PM a list, or would you rather I provide you my email? Thanks!
  5. It looks like one just popped up on Ebay from AA member CVFG: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 310855739747
  6. Is this the Test Console I saw posted on Ebay last week? I may be interested, if my wife allows me to be interested...
  7. Schoolgirl posted a CIB copy of Lochjaw on Ebay: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 131103877283
  8. In October, I sold a duplicate Spike's Peak/Ghost Manor (CIB) I had for $28 on Ebay. Hope that helps!
  9. Thank you to everyone! I've seen the pics of CPUWIZ's NTSC Asterix NIB copy from 10 years ago with the "N" sticker on the top flap, and I've also noticed that the PAL boxes of both games have Four languages (i.e "English - One Player Only") on the front of the box, whereas the NTSC releases did not. So, in regards to Asterix & Obelix carts, silver labels and '83 dates are both NTSC and PAL, while the '85's and '86's are PAL only. A small, square "p" label may be affixed to the back of the cart to signify PAL, but they easily fall off, so don't use that as a guide. Also, the "p" notation on the end-label indicates a PAL release. I guess the only way to tell for sure that an Asterix cart is NTSC is to play it! I really appreciate this!
  10. Thanks for posting a pic! I hadn't seen that before, so that's something I'll keep in mind from now on. They really didn't secure the "p" sticker to the cart, did they? lol
  11. Thanks CatPix! I kinda thought the only way to tell would be to play it, but wasn't sure.
  12. I saw a CNET article on this earlier today. In the comments section, there was one, impassioned commenter stating that this particular copy is well-known to NES collectors due to the damage and "mario" written on it. It's over $10K now. During my lunchtime searches, I came across a HUGE 2600 collection for sale in Minnesota on craigslist: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/vgm/4288687614.html Update: If the bidding on the Nintendo World Championship cart is real, this just set the record for most expensive game ever sold. Currently over $90K!!!
  13. Hi Everyone! I've been looking for a nice Asterix and Obelix NTSC for my collection. I've read some discussions on here about how the Asterix NTSC is the silver label with an '83 date (rather than '85), but that not all silver labels with '83 are necessarily NTSC. Makes sense, but my question is, can you ever tell just from the label whether the game is NTSC? I understand about the end-label variant with a "p" = PAL and how not all carts without "p"'s are NTSC, but is there anyway to determine without actually playing the game? Thanks in advance!
  14. I believe you're allowed to retract a bid within 12 hours of an auction close, as long as you withdraw the bid within an hour of submitting it. I think it has to be approved by the seller too. Have to check this...
  15. This auction is way out of my price range, but this Music Machine collection on Ebay is interesting (why is Cakewalk in there?) eBay Auction -- Item Number: 131097777817
