  1. @Kr0tkiIs there any possible way you could port the final 8-Bit version to the 5200? It's a shame that the 5200 was the development system for the game yet never got the completed version. I say this not knowing how easy or difficult it is to do such a thing so if I'm way out of line just let me know. I'm not a programmer. Jr. Pac-man (7-10-84).rom
  2. Wow, thanks for the summary of all the CV related systems. As a SVI-328 owner is nice to see the mention.
  3. I saw that. I think it's just due to the tape being reused. I don't think the different bytes are anything the game accesses. Maybe @Thomas Jentzsch could take a look?
  4. Ah thanks for that. My brain goes faster than I can type sometimes.
  5. Thanks to the generosity of Ianoid, we have a few new Starpath prototypes to share. The first is a new build of Sweat!. This prototype contains a running event that cannot be won (at least I don't think it can) but has the larger graphic for the character. This is similar to the Hurdles version that was found in the possession of Bob Brown back in 2004, although that prototype has not been released to the public as far as I can tell. The second prototype is a late beta for Sword of Saros. The game plays similarly to the final (although I found it harder to avoid the wizard) but the end game is completely different. Instead of opening random doors on level 7 you must instead find the sword in a treasure room and then confront the wizard. Unfortunately there's no winning screen programmed in yet so the game simply resets. Also included is a prototype for Survival Island. This appears to be the same as the first load on the released version, but the tape was oddly missing the other two loads. Perhaps it was some sort of demo? Ianoid also found a copy of Going-Up?? but it turned out to be the same as the previously released demo. In honor of Ianoid releasing all these Starpath games I finally got around to making pages for all the Starpath games (except Party Mix which no prototype has been found for yet). Enjoy! http://www.atariprotos.com/ Going Up.bin Survival Island (8-5-83).bin Sweat! (Beta 4).bin Sword of Saros (8-5-83).bin

Story of my life tbh. :3

  8. Missed that one. I didn't see much if any Lynx stuff. I was disappointed that there wasn't much if any classic computer stuff. When the show was still at the Sheraton there seemed to be computer stuff. To me, most vendors seemed to be selling NES, SNES, GEN, PSX, and PS2 stuff. There was a smattering of other systems, but these seemed to be the most common. I even saw someone selling loose copies of Spiders and Red Clash for the Arcadia 2001!
  9. Of course there was, it just hasn't been found yet. I have a proto from 1/4/84 which is about three weeks earlier than the one they were discussion but it probably has most if not all the issues they were complaining about. Here's the rom. Millipede (1-4-84).bin
  10. I thought they were going to repel the law but for some reason it didn't happen? I seem to recall hearing something about that one of the last years it was at the Sheraton.
  11. I wonder how many of those were fixed? It's been a long time since I went through the game. I know there's a 1/4/84 proto that must have many of these issues http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/millipede/1484.htm
  12. They wanted $6,500 for that? Yikes! Like you said, it was neat but it looked like a Steam or indie game on a console that you'd pay $10 for. Personally I thought the 4 player Food Fight was more fun, but I'm a big Food Fight fan. No mention of that VR Godzilla game? That thing was freaking awesome! I wonder how much it costs to play that thing in a real arcade?
  13. In the museum? Yes, tons. In the vendor hall? Not so much.
  14. I think everyone is kind of socially awkward there. Goes with the territory.
  15. @BassGuitari won 2 games to 1. We each had a lopsided victory and then one really close game. I think I'm still up in the overall series, but we really don't keep track.
