  1. Hi Im interested in purchasing a ti-99 that's in good shape with all cables no need for games and I would prefer it to be the original model with the aluminum trim and of course for it to be in fully working condition Thanks - Robert
  2. Thanks for all the information and honest opinions. Yes it does have a RF out on it i just prefer a higher quality output than RF but i was thinking the same the way prices look found a power supply on best electronics for $40 and floppy drives are looking to be over $100 so i figure for another 60 bucks might as well go for a 1040ST however if i do get lucky enough to run across anything for the 520st cheap cheap cheap ill pick it up. otherwise i guess i just have a nice "conversation piece"
  3. I forgot to add the video cables are also gone . What would be the best route to go VGA adapter or composite cables.
  4. I was hoping someone could grace me with all their knowledge of Atari ST computers. I recently acquired a boxed atari 520st from a friend for 20 bucks that was tucked away in his parents closet. Unfortunately it was missing its mouse and power supply (I already put up a want for that stuff). But im curious are their other alternative power supplies that would be compatible and easier to acquire (looked on ebay didnt even see one) also are there other solutions for a mouse? Seen a few 9 pin mouses on ebay . Some were kind of steep on price and others I wasn't sure if they were compatible. Once I get the things needed to get it up and running finding a floppy drive is next on the list. So any info on what model drive I need or compatible drives (if there is any) to look for. Any info would be great thanks for looking
  5. I recently acquired a boxed atari 520st computer from a friend for 20 bucks that was in his parents closet but unfortunately does not have a power supply or mouse so i would love if someone could help me out with either of those things Thanks for looking !
  6. I was watching a vid on the sio2pc looks like a awesome little piece of equipment would definitely invest in one once I acquire a 800xl. Where would be the best place to get a sio2pc ? Thanks I love it so far its such a cool little computer has a neat feel to it gotta love that membrane key board haha. But that is something I noticed on ebay looking for a XL computer a lot of them had keyboard issue so when i do purchase one I will make sure its guaranteed that the keyboard is functional
  7. Hey RJ I appreciate the offer would love to take you up on it but im a little further than a hour from you im in North Carolina. Hi Kyle I wasn't aware of that since im a total newb in the world of atari computers but I will look into this further thanks for the info
  8. I picked up a 400 at my local thrift shop believe it or not ! What luck ?!? With 3 boxed games some joysticks and all the hookups and it works like a champ all for 20 bucks and its been upgraded to 48k of ram
  9. Thanks for the tip ill keep that in mind
  10. Hi there wood I appreciate all the info ill see if I can find me a nice 800xl for starters. If I do run across a good deal on a 400 I might pick it up. I was researching and found a site that sells NOS official atari 48k memory upgrades for the 400. So I thought if I got a good deal on one and upgraded the memory it would be a cool lil machine.
  11. Hi everyone im a newbie here on atari age so far im loving the site. Im a young vintage computer collecter (im 19) looking to get into some 8 bit atari computers. Ive got the 800 800xl in mind or might even settle for a 400 . So anyone who might have a nice little spare unit they would like to part with for decent price let me know. Thanks alot for looking.- Robert
