  1. Howdy Atarians! I've been playing some atari games and bumped in RealSports Volleyball. The rules are outdated! Anyone up to the challenge to update the game? I've tried without luck... The address $B2 receives 2, then 1 and finally score. Dunno if it's related. Found where the game compares to 15 for end game, easy fix. But the advantage thing, couldn't figure out. Hope someone can fix it. Thanks!
  2. Plain and simple.. anyone can archive that? Been trying for a while, but I can't find wheres the 'energy' counter is Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks about MegaMania... - A easy way to check this "bug" is holding F2 in Stella. You'll see it happens in the original rom. Now about H.E.R.O. well... portuguese is a picky language... POWER should be translated as ENERGY in this case. I'm sure the rescue man use some sort of batteries and not special powers. While we're here, about Seaquest (and the others too) - There's a way to make the copyright text to be displayed in the game screen instead the activision one? - I'm asking because I'm changing the copyright text to "Vidas Infinitas" (infinite lives) so one could tell it's a trained rom. (Please something I can do using Stella) In Seaquest i've tracked down the offsets where the text was and tried to replace to their addresses, but then activision text got some garbage at the end If no solution can be found for H.E.R.O. guess i'll stick with this battery icon During gameplay: Activision text During Atract mode: Vidas Infinitas - Anyway to swap this behaviour? And here's how Seaquest looks now translated:
  4. ... and of course THAT DID IT Thanks again... I've suspected about the data tables, but I couldn't let the chance pass to ask such expert I may be asking too much, but you can give such job in H.E.R.O. and Megamania? (both should be "ENERGIA") and of course, no rush at all. Those 3 are my favourite games and I always wanted to have them translated Been working on those two.. H.E.R.O. is a lost cause, ENERGIA doesn't fit at all.. now Megamania.. I guess I've found a slight bug... The energy bar when empty 'starts' a pixel earlier then when it's full. Maybe an easy fix for you Nukey, see the pics... Empty energy bar: Filled energy bar:
  5. Yay! Thank you so much Nukey Shay! Seeing your work around here, One couldn't expect anything less ... and so quick! Now i'll have some (fun) time reading that asm file and then play a little more of SeaQuest edit... and oops! I tried to give a 'facelift' in the font, and noticed something. There's a 'bar' or an "l" being 'forced' written. The space is empty but it still there... see the screenshot, right before the "E". This is part of this reminder "IIRC...some of the other data tables aren't reverse-engineered, so be careful to leave them in their original locations." ? xD Notice that other than moving some 1s and 0s around, I didn't changed anything else. It's copying left side of the letter "O". So I've added that "i" and it completed the missing parts of the "G" It's too much trouble to "fix" this? - attached the edited rom Seaquest_hack(NTSC)_i_OXIGENIO.a26
  6. @ Nukey Shay: Awesome! Despite the fact I can understand all your explanation, I have no clue about how to implement it xD - I'm stil on baby steps in 6502 - ie, using Stella to look for infinite lives and doing some changes here and there. Just a note, I'm using the NTSC rom. I've replaced a routine in Frostbite so the timer isn't going down, yet at the end of the game, the time goes down as it should. (oh, and I'm damn proud of it LOL) @ nanochess: Yeah, it would be just too easy
  7. Howdy everyone... I'm trying to translate the "oxygen" text in Sea Quest to brazilian portuguese ("oxigenio") If you look closer, there are plenty of room to add the extra text... I'd like to know how to re-locate the text to make it a bit closer to the 'energy bar' I know it will require some extra space for the extra letters but I plan to use the space from the lives icon. Any help?
