Hi I completely appologise for posting here as my first post. I'm just steadily getting more into my 8bit stuff recently and happened to come across an 800 and an 800XL. I would like to keep the original 800, as I like the looks and it feels chunky, but the image output of this not as clear as the XL. It has shadowing aross to the right on white text, pretty badly infact. I also find the audio is a lot quieter and not as crisp as the XL. The XL on the other hand has an occasional vertical image blip, it's hard to describe, a few lines role in just a limited vertical space on the screen (i.e. not all the way top to bottom), role for a split second and then it's fine. The audio and image are much clearer. Both are over RF/PAL. The XL also has an extra box at the base of the RF leads near the unit. I don't suppose anyone has any ideas? Caps maybe? Many tia,
