  1. I am an XEGS owner and I LOVE my system. I use the RF cord for the connection but Ive been reading that it handles AV output. I dont see how this is possible since there is only a RF connection in the back of the system. Is there an AV cord for the XEGS and where can I get one??????
  2. My collection is made up of mostly cheap games. A few of them were in the 25-30 range. Ive given up on others as they just cost way too much and are available on other platforms. Still, AVP is a good game and so is Wolfenstein.
  3. Traded for a Turbografx and Jaguar games. Thanks.
  4. I just picked up my layaway from the pawn America shop and was really excited about it when I first saw it. Now the idea of owning a 5200 is mellowing and Im thinking of trading it in at a local game collector store. Heres what I got. Original box, no inserts 2 controlers, one looks like it was refurbished because the red film is still on it. The rubber lip of both joysticks need to be replaced 1 wico controller and y cable 1 trak ball controller, good shape. System with 4 ports and all in one switchbox. Original power supply. I paid $40 for everything, and would like to try to get a turbografx or Jaguar stuff out of it. I just cant pin down a decent price for the 5200 or other stuff. Whats the going rate for these things?
  5. I love it. Sounds great.
  6. I think I figured it out. Swapped my factory AC adapter (NES002) for a generic one. Worked perfectly from start up. The bummer is, factory ac adapters go for way too much on ebay.
  7. These things are simply not available on ebay. I figured Id find one but nada. Cant find one anywhere. I have to find someone with a busted one who is parting it out.
  8. Just picked up a Sega Saturn (My first), and it works perfectly and cleanup really well. Only problem is it doesn't have a rear battery panel cover. I don't really need one, but its bugging the heck out of me. Id buy one if I can find one. Im hoping a member of the board my have a spare or just wish to part with one for a few bucks. PM me if you have one.
  9. I bought this a few months ago and all was well until it started doing this when I first turn on the system. It goes away after a few minutes, but comes back if the system is turned off for a while. Any ideas whats wrong with it? I cleaned it, and swapped RF switches, tvs and channels and nothing helps. Any help is welcome.

    Jeff NES Problem

This is what I get when I turn on my NES top loader. It goes away within a few mins, but I want to fix it.
  11. Ive been wanting an av cable since I picked up my used Jaguar a few months ago. Id seen some custom made ones online and even some homemade ones too. Are the factory one better then the rest? Will it work with the CD attachment should I ever pick that up. I know I need something better then the standard RF cord Im using now. Id like higher quality video and maybe the S video is better? http://www.gofundme.com/7mmn0g
  12. We shall see. I didn't get a chance to test it yet. The 5200 was one system where I actually said to myself, "I don't need one". But the price was so right and Id be kicking myself later for not grabbing it. I figured why not? The switchbox alone goes for $30 on ebay. Maybe I can part it out if I don't like it.
  13. I just put one on layaway at the local Pawn America. Had the box, trakball, 3rd party controller and 2600 controller thrown in. Its the crappy 4 port though. It was only $40! Picked up a few games at $1 each, nothing special. Knowing its a hunk of crap, I think this is something to keep just to say I have one. Factory controller is "used" to be honest.
  14. My local store is Game Trade in Wisconsin. Great selection, but get ready to pay collector's prices. Its kind of a trade off, you get hard to find stuff, but pay more for it. I know there are quite a few games for the Jaguar that are inexpensive and rightly so, but alot of crap games are going for WAY too much money right now. Might have to wait to see if prices go down.
  15. I agree with the OP. I think I want one too. I may even break my "No modding" rule and put in some AV outputs. I was thinking of the 2600 just for giggles, but the 7800 seems like a better made system and I love the fact its backwards compatable. Ive been checking out those smaller, nes style gamepads for it. Now I kinda want one bad.
