Michael has confirmed that he will be bringing an assortment of homebrews to sell at TooManyGames. Due to his schedule he's only able to participate in the show on Saturday, but he's also bringing Leonard Herman with him. Not sure if Lenny will have new books or will be there as a booth babe. 8*)

Heya, Marc. Good to hear from you, man. 8*) Yah, lots of fond fond memories of PhillyClassics of yore. If you ever get a chance you should stop by TooManyGames one year, always a good time to be had.

I don't know what the value of Atari homebrews is these days, so I can't honestly put a price on it. If Intellivision homebrew prices are any indicator, then this game is worth approximately $1.3 billion. 8*) Seriously tho', I have an original PhillyClassic edition of Qb, cart number 4. I was an organizer of PhillyClassic back in the day, alongside David Newman, Jeff Folejewski, and Marc Pallante, so I managed to get a low number of the production run. It's not mint, but it's in really nice shape. The homebrew labels back in the day weren't the high quality reproductions they are today. There is a small crease in the bottom of the label from where it folded up at one point in time. I'm going back to college in the fall of 2011 and I'm selling some stuff from my collections to raise funds to pay for miscellaneous expenses. World Record Weekend has a limited amount of entry slots available for competitive gamers, so early registration is key for this event. Any participant who plans to compete on an arcade machine not currently available in Challenge Arcade’s line-up of equipment is permitted to bring his or her own arcade machine to the venue for their world record attempt and verification. World Record Weekend II will be held December 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Wyomissing, Pennsylvania’s Challenge Arcade located inside the Berkshire Mall. I'm guessing by the little bit of buzz we only had a couple AA'er in attendance, but I want to thank anyone from AA who did come and enjoy themselves at the show! It was indeed our best show, and they're only going to keep getting better!

I know I'm a little bias, but I really think this show is unfolding to be our absolute best. As it's a one day show it's tough to fit in an enormous amount of events, but I think 3 panels, 5 concerts, 5 official tournaments, plus everything our vendors are doing is a pretty good showing. 8*) Honestly folks, if you have fond memories of PhillyClassic, then this is the year you need to support TooManyGames because we have big aspirations for future shows. 8*)

Generally, since we offer our table prices so low, our vendors try to offer their merchandise a little cheaper than online. I can't speak for our vendors though, you'll have to ask them yourself. We have a list of all our booked vendors right on the front page of our website, www.toomanygames.com!

I saw they deleted 90,000 pedo profiles this year. I don't know how my convention's profile would have been lumped into a pedophile profile scan, but I suppose it's possible if they just looked for certain key terms or something. All I know is it sucks that we have to start over again, but we're already over 50 friends again so I don't think it'll take too long to get back up to 1600.

Couple updates we want to make everyone aware of. First, MySpace in their infinite stupidity deleted our convention profile. So we lost all of our 1600+ friends. Salute Games (www.salutegames.com) will be releasing a new action-adventure game called Prehistoric Times. Prehistoric Times follows the plight of a lone prehistoric man fighting for survival by hunting wily beasts in a sun-scorched forest. Nourish yourself on the carcasses of felled prey before setting off in quest of a mysterious god spoken of only in legend. Beware, no one has ever returned alive. I'll have more information available about its release soon and I'll keep everyone posted!

We've had both Anthony and Todd at prior TMGs, unfortunately both have decided doing conventions isn't worth their time. It's a shame too, convention attendees always get so much joy out of seeing and playing the classics as it's hard to find them anywhere these days. I made the same cash offer to each of them personally, neither responded. 8*(

Heya, everyone! We've announced our next TooManyGames event, happening Sunday May 3rd at the Leesport Market in Leesport, PA. We're offering an awesome deal to anyone who brings coin-ops to the show for our attendees to play. Everyone who brings arcade games or pinballs to the show we will pay you $10.00 cash for each standard machine you bring or $13 for any deluxe machines (such as sit-down drivers, 50" projection games like Top Skater or Star Wars Trilogy, environmental games like Discs of Tron, etc...). The machines must be in decent, working condition and be either be placed on free play or coined up throughout the day. Anyone who brings machines to the show is welcome to make sales of their games as well, so we're paying you to potentially come and make money! We're not even asking for a cut of your sales, there's no strings attached! You'll get free admission too! There's even a huge garage door to make bringing the machines in super easy! If you would like some vendor space to sell boards, marquees, etc... we have tables available for only $35.00! The machines must be brought into the convention and running no later than 8am. The games must be available to play free all day long, if the machine dies half way through the event it's not eligible for the $10.00 payment. You may begin loading equipment back up at 5:30pm. Money will be distributed at the end of the event.
