  1. FYI to anyone who gets New Wave Toys emails: New Wave sent out a survey to ask about interest in a 1/6th scale Skeeball machine.
  2. New Wave Toys has a Scratch 'n Dent clearance sale going on right now: https://newwavetoys.com/products/scratch-dent-x-replicade Edit: Looks like between when I got the email to posting this most of the stock has sold out.
  3. NewWaveToy's latest announcement is their first product in the "MiniPins" line of 1/6" scale pinball machines. Unfortunately (but not unexpected) the machine is not actually playable. https://newwavetoys.com/products/black-hole-x-replicade-minipin
  4. This is the type of update that keep me watching this thread. I'd love this type of add-on kit for my unit, thanks for sharing.
  5. That joystick MyArcade shown in the last seconds of the video has potential; too bad it's wasted on Galaga. Where's my Afterburner mini-arcade?
  6. A poster on the A1U reddit board shared pictures from the A1U pop-up Miami store: First look at the Time Crisis cabinet: CasinoCade slot machines?
  7. Those things look awful. I own all three of their premium releases (Contra, SF2, & Invaders) and really liked them for what they were. I wish they'd put out more from that series, but I guess MyArcade makes more profit selling those 300-in-1 garbage game units out of pharmacy toy aisles.
  8. If the picture is legit, then A1U is planning on releasing a one player version of the TMNT counter-cade. I wonder if the other beat-em-ups will get the same treatment.
  9. I happened to bump into Glen at RetroWorld Expo in Connecticut this past weekend. He had with him his prototype and was kind enough to let me give it a quick try. I played about a minute of one of the 19xx games; the screen looked sharp with good viewing angles and the joystick was tight and responsive.
  10. The guy in that video did a poor job describing how that USB fridge works. I had one like that and it does work...to an extent. The metal base is a peltier cooler that gets cold when an electric current is run through it. Those fridges can't really chill an already room temperature drink much, they're best used to keep a cold drink cold longer. In my experience though, putting a soda can in a koozie does about the same job cheaper and without wasting electricity.
  11. New Wave Toys has their 1942 cab on sale at Amazon for Prime Day. It's $99 w/free shipping, which beats their 1942 clearance sale a month or so ago: https://www.amazon.com/New-Wave-Toys-RepliCade-Playable/dp/B09H3PCRBL/ref=sr_1_8?crid=2R1C206Q9I78U&keywords=new%2Bwave%2Btoys&qid=1657714910&sprefix=new%2Bwave%2Btoys%2Caps%2C147&sr=8-8
  12. Just thinking about this: imagine if you live to be over 100 and still collecting. Not only will everything be dirt cheap/plentiful, you'll automatically be the foremost expert in the hobby!
  13. New Wave Toys is has their remaining stock of 1942 replicades and Capcom mini-sticks on clearance. Promo code CAPCOM10 takes $10 off orders over $100. With the discount and code, a 1942 replicade comes in at about $100 before shipping.
