  1. OK, here are the updated photo's as promised. Cleaning the key caused the letter on the top of the cap to fade badly, so I used a 5mm Letraset dry transfer to bring it back to life. A thin layer of liquid floor polish was hand painted over this to seal and protect it. Thing is, it's now somewhat more prominent than the rest of the keys..... The power reset switch on the side has been painted matt black.
  2. Key arrived today, and is spot on. Again - many thanks. This will allow a 130XE to be rescued from storage and restored to full working condition.
  3. This looks very interesting. I may well invest in one of these. I can't see how to pay (and how much any project costs) on his website....
  4. Is it possible to add an SD card reader inside an Atari 8 bit or ST computer? I suspect there are plenty of such topics already covered on this forum, but the database of messages and threads on the this site is vast. A shortcut link to the appropriate discussion area would be much appreciated. An SSD of laptop drive would also be an interesting alternative if an SD card reader is a non starter. Thanks in advance.
  5. Many thanks. It will be much appreciated. Peroxide is on the shopping list.....
  6. I guess I should let the members know of my Atari hardware. A boxed (silver) 48K Atari 800 PAL. A boxed (silver) 48K Atari 800 NTSC. An Atari XE551 disk drive. A 1050 drive with happy chip installation. An XC12 tape deck - Japanese manufacture. A 1010 tape deck. The Atari 130XE as shown above - which includes the box in good condition. All of these include original Atari brand power supplies where applicable. A disassembled 1040STE, and a Mega 1 ST. Also 4 x Atari 2600jr. consoles (working) although these do not have power supplies. I have converted a suitable non Atari psu to suit the 2600. I also own a Philips 8533 14" monitor which has composite audio and video inputs for the 8 bits, and an 8833 which works with the ST models. Quality of these is excellent, even if they are crt's... Plus a nice Commodore branded 14" screen, which has separate chrominance and luminance video inputs. Excellent picture reproduction on this also. I need to dig through my stash to see if I have forgotten anything, which I will add to this list.
  7. No problem. I will post updated photo's of the 130XE when it's fully restored to health.
  8. As a 'newbie', I'm not sure what PM means. Is there something I need to do? Best regards and thanks in advance.
  9. OK then. Please send to: John Cully, 63 Dunmanus Road, Cabra West, Dublin 7, Ireland As soon as you let me know how much to pay you, it will quickly be sent by paypal. Best regards.
  10. Should I contact you with my postal address on here, or at a non forum e-mail address?
  11. I really appreciate the offer. I hope it doesn't cause too much problem my being on the other side of the Irish sea in Dublin. I am more than happy to make any paypal payment you need for the postage costs. If this is OK, I will send you my address and payment.
  12. Yes, I contacted them in relation to a keyboard and the shipping will be quite expensive. I am going to look around for a key cap (or perhaps a whole set) before going to the expense of postage from America. There must be failed keyboards around the place - when I worked in the industry (back when the Atari XE was current!) faulty machines were not unusual. I have about six different laptop keyboards lying around......
  13. This has now been painted matt black to match the underside of the case. It is a 'cold' reset button, to prevent heavy use of the on/off switch which will wear it out.
