Replaced the polystyrene caps (in my 2600) with mica and the 4.7 electrolytics with mylars. Only thing I'll have to recap in 20 years is a low-ESR panasonic Updated 04 May · 0 comments

About Me

I am Charles Thompson, a high-school tinkerer and 5-year programmer that likes to do anything that peaks my interest. My hobbies include welding, programming, electronic repair/design, and procrastination.

My main computers consist of a 13 year old Cisnet and an equally old Panasonic Toughbook. Since they're that old they don't run windows anymore, rather a lightly modified Debian setup. Since I don't have a huge incentive to upgrade my systems, I'll more than likely just recap them every few years until I eventually die of old age.

Introduced to the Atari by a few youtubers, I bought an Atari Jr. and started on a few projects in bB. First I tried to make a raycaster, but due to my really lacking knowledge of the platform I gave up. Then, after another year I tried to make a programming language, but also gave up since I (and no-one else) really cared about it. Other than that, I've also created some other programs in C and helped the Atari Community as much as I can (at least within the time I'm on the site).
