  1. Dear Moderator: I think its time to close this thread, its went way off target. We get the same things on ebay forums. There's always some buyer who jumps in and tries to make bad buyers look ok and downgrades sellers. I know the type have dealt with them for years. I appologize to anyone I have offended, except bojay I don't appologize to them. Gl with this great site and tks for letting me voice the ebay sellers side of view.
  2. (1) Sounds like u fit into ebays bad buyers group, bet allot of seller have you blocked. Wished I knew your name so I could block you. I bet you know your way around the "buyer likes to file claims" proccess and I bet your fb left is full of Negs and Neu. BTW, I do not believe you have sold much on ebay, your a typical BAD BUYER groupy, I can tell by what you write. (2) I am right, you are the snot nosed brat type, those types of people thrive on pointing out to others that they misspell words. WHY, it makes them feel smart and above others. I have more humility in my little finger than you have in your whole body. (3) Your arrogants is the main reason I wish to block your post so I couldn't see them. Dang cus, I am sorry I is knot as smiart as yew are. If I was everyone wuld tink I'm a genius two.
  3. . I guess there's no ignor button so I'll reply. If you took the time to read my first few post you would know why I posted here, guess you was above that. I try to avoid your type, only child brat who think they are smarter and better than everyone else. I'm a regular person born back in the time(1950's) when kids where taught respect, I'm not from your time when they weren't. As I said before, you like to argue and induce argueing, thats why I wished there was an ignor button. Your off the wall opinion I believe may be caused by what u may be smoking, or you need intense psychiatric help. Bye
  4. Again you don't have a clue. I ask those who have been posting in here for a long time. Does this person always act like this, he's right everyone else is wrong. Please, if there's an ignor button, point me to it. If the package is 1st class or Priority, the post office will pick it up at your HOME! You don't have to drive to the P.O. to return. It would supprise you what lengths some people will go thru just to try/rent something for FREE.(Brides, Vacationers, one time repairs, etc.) Also scamming Target, Kmart, Walmart compared to ebay is as differant as night and day, you don't have a clue. Ebay never sees the item, all they care about is pleaseing the buyer, those Big Box stores inspect returns ebay doesn't, ebay takes the buyers word.
  5. Seems you know everything about everything, never wrong, and love to argue about things you don't have a clue on. Does anyone personally know this person, how old are they? By ur name I take it you can be at most 17 yr old(2014-1997=17). Which means you don't have a clue and have never sold on ebay. Do you have any concept of how life works in the real world(outside Mom/Dads house). You did not see my claim so how can you know what happened, all you can do is make immature opinions. I'm 59 and been in the business world for twice the yrs than you been alive. When you get half my experiance in dealing with scamers in the business world, then you have the knowledge for an intelligent reply, until then can someone tell me if there's an IGNOR button for posters on your forums.
  6. Not trying to argue or make anyone mad, but this is how it is. Unless you been in a sellers shoes who was scamed you don't have a clue. Selling on ebay is a Federal Interstate Internet Act and ebay has to follow Fed. Laws. I got scamed by a buyer, ebay removed a full refund from my paypal account, and told buyer they did not have to return the item. I filed a complaint with the IC3(Internet Crime Complaint Center), then I called ebay and told them. The immediately transferred me to a supervisor who appologized and within the hour the refund was put back into my paypal account. EBAY does break the law but not many know what to do, its not state law its Federal. Ebay has not finally protected buyers, ebay has been doing that for yrs while bashing sellers. You say Good sellers won't be impacted, those are the ones who will get hit the hardest. Ebay for some will turn into EBAY RENTAL, how? Bride needs a dress, buys it, wears it, soils it on wedding night, then files complaint Not As Discribed and seller pays shipping back. Bride got a dress for free. Other things like ATARI GAMES, CONSOLES, Tools need only for a week or 2, Vacation items needed for a week, Prom dresses, Suits, etc. Say you need to roof your backporch, you buy a USED air nail gun from ebay, roof you porch, then return "Not As DIscribed" and seller pay $15-$20 return shipping. Anything a person would rent can now be had at EBAY FOR FREE. When a buyer racks up to many NOT AS DISCRIBED claims, they just delete that account and make a new one. Ebay could care less, if a item is returned Not As Discribed the SELLER does NOT GET a final value fee refund. Its a win win thing for ebay, sellers loose their butts but ebay still keeps the fees. Please don't tell me honest buyers will not do this. Here's an example. Honest Harry wants a to buy a old rare game, a used one cost $30 but he's afraid to spend $30 for a game he may not like. NOW, he doesn't have to fight the urge to not buy cause he knows if he doesn't like the game all he has to do is say its not as discribed and seller foots the bill. HE PAYS NOTHING TO TRY THE GAME. Honest buyers will start doing this," TEST ITEMS FOR FREE " or rent.
  7. Video game addict, you are truely misleaded by ebay. Ebay cares about 2 things and 2 things only, buyers and money. They will do anything, thats anything to butter up buyers to buy more. Even at the expense of their LOYAL sellers. If ebay didn't have a monoply in the online auction game, they would treat sellers better. What you don't know is sellers are going to be FORSED into hassle free returns. Starting Sept 15th 2014, any buyer who uses the excuse "not as discribed", the seller will be forced to pay return shipping(no matter what their details or return policy says). So what if they boot a buyer, they just make a new account and start over. Thats the ebay way, ebay will turn their backs just to make a buck. It looks like krslam and Atarileaf know exactly how ebay works. I assume they both sell on ebay as I do. I've sold since 2002 and those two share my resentment for ebay. But where else is a seller to go, no place else has the traffic ebay does. One day ebay will push sellers to far and that'll be it.
  8. Good Buyers are on the other side and do not understand, so let me give an example of the scams you don't know about, which will get 100% worse with this new rule. Say Harry wants to get a Santa's suit for xmas or Halloween custom for halloween but he only needs it for a week. He hears about the new rule if item is "not as discribed", the seller is forced to pay for return shipping. So he buys a used Santa suit or Halloween custom on ebay for $25 w/ship cost of $9. He uses it then files a SNAD complaint with ebay against the seller saying the suit/custom is not as discribed. Ebay closes the claim siding with the buyer and makes the seller refund total payment of $34, then also makes the seller pay for return shipping. Seller is out double shipping cost of $18 and since Halloween/Xmas season is over, they have to wait till the following yr for the holiday to come around. Also there will be allot of people buying used PS3,XBOX, Etc. games. Playing them for a week or 2 then returning "Not as discribed", making seller pay shipping back. This will be happening all over ebay. Buyer will be able to buy, then if they change their mind all they have to say is "Not as Discribed" and they will get full payment refunded and seller has to pay return shipping. For me, I'm going to another auction site Etsy and so are many other. For allot of buyers, ebay will be thought of as EBAY RENTAL. A place to try things out for free and if you don't like it, make seller take it back and pay all ship cost.
  9. I was searching the net for other forums talking about ebays new rules and found this forum. I did not see until I posted that this was an old thread. Sorry for bumping up a old thread but see it. Yes my first post, I was just wanting to let people on this forum know the new ebay update. I am 59 yrs old and I do remember playing Atari back in the 70's, it was a blast. I still have a bunch of games and a big box of different remotes and 5-6 consols that I have picked up at estate auctions. Maybe I'll list them here, do you have a classified section?
  10. Its a fact, new updates from ebay and if you look at ebay UK its the same their as the USA. ANy buyer using the excuss "not as discribed" can make the seller pay return shipping. Heres the new updates and USA link, I imagine the UK update reads the same. http://announcements.ebay.com/2014/08/updates-to-the-ebay-user-agreement-user-privacy-notice-and-money-back-guarantee/ Returns. We updated this section to clarify that if eBay hassle-free returns are applied to your listings, you authorize eBay to remove the refund amount from your PayPal account, place the amount on your invoice, and/or charge your payment method on file. By the 2015 holiday season, all eligible domestic returns on eBay will be eBay hassle-free returns and sellers may not remove hassle-free return settings from their listings. We updated this section also to reflect this future change. Money Back Guarantee. We updated this section to reflect changes in the Money Back Guarantee, specifically that sellers are responsible for return shipping costs if an item is not as described and that, if an eBay-generated return shipping label is used for return shipping on items not as described, we place the return shipping label cost on the seller's invoice
