  1. Ooo, I'll play! Iron Lord's main title track is an ancient Spanish renaissance tune:
  2. Martin Brownlow's version of Julian Gollop's ZX Spectrum game CHAOS is my favorite pd game for the Atari. Honestly, it's one of the few ST games I still play regularly. edit: you can use the numberpad for navigating the choosing of spells, etc. as well as movement during your turn. the '0' key acts as a cursor select. Instructions are listed on the Atarimania link above.
  3. I remember typing this in and saving to cassette Is this it?
  4. 6,100 I had this game as a kid and I tried to like it, but...it's just too unrewarding. Frustrating control, lack of action until the 2nd stage, and then again clumsy control and uninspiring end. Oh well, as least the music is kinda cool.
  5. I just read this post out loud to my wife who is in the next room, and she chuckled and said "Tell him what I tell you...only play games you can win."
  6. Start with shooting a yellow bee on the very edge of the screen, then build out one space at a time horizontally from there. If the honeycombs 'stack' diagonally upward the bees don't trap. There has to be room for the beehives to be built.
  7. Whoops, lol. I'll stop 'educating' you on the intellivision controller now
  8. I never go back into the bunker after I respawn. Too busy chasing down points and the next gun! Try using two controllers - one to move and the other to fire. You can then move and shoot at the same time, which is surprisingly helpful. I play Tron Deadly Discs like this too for the same reason.
  9. Ok, your turn to spill the beans. How are you scoring this high? When I get to around 60-70k the invisible robot appears, and I'm dead soon after. Are you killing him 10, 20, 30 times?
  10. The hummingbird does give you points for eating the honeycombs, but she more often blocks well-timed shots and eats crucial honeycombs. The beehives score more at the end of the round, and keep scoring assuming they remain intact.
  11. If it's not obvious, you need to shoot bees in a pattern that traps the yellow ones so they make beehives (easiest way is to start from the edge and work out from there). Once I have the whole row made, I stay still and shoot between them to try to pick off the white bees, which don't get trapped. Usually, the hummingbird when she enters will fly right in front of you if you are still, and you should get rid of her right away. If she eats one of your crucial honeycombs, it's not easy to recover.
