Wanted: Emerson Arcadia 2001 console

Sat Mar 23, 2019 5:50 AM

I was looking at some datasheets and I think the arcadia can be RGB modded so I'd like to give it a try. Anyone have an arcadia console they're willing to part with? Let me know if you have any games as well please.

I prefer trade but would do cash if the price is right. Items I have for trade: https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing

Thank you!

Akron Art Museum: Open World Arcade

Thu Feb 21, 2019 7:20 AM

The Akron Art Museum in northeast Ohio is hosting a homebrew arcade event in December of 2019 and is requesting submissions of both video games and tabletop games. This seems like an interesting way to bring some exposure to the homebrew community and introduce people to the scene who otherwise would never know it existed.

Wanted: Intellivision 2 console

Fri Feb 15, 2019 5:23 PM

I am looking for an Intellivision 2 so I can test the RGB mod I am designing. Condition is not critical as long as it works and has working controllers and power supply. Original box and paperwork are not necessary. I am open to trade or paypal deals. Feel free to pm me if you are able to help out.

Thanks for looking!

For Trade: Sharp NES Game Television Controller

Fri Feb 1, 2019 2:40 PM

I recently found this at the local game store and thought I'd put it up here for trade. I would say it's in average condition. I tried to photograph the more serious knicks. The controller is fully functional and the cable is free of splits and chew marks.

Specific items of interest include but aren't limited to:

- Intellivision 2 console in unmodified working condition

- Sharp Famicom Twin console

- gameboy printer pikachu edition

- PS1 mouse controller

- PS1 Castlevania SOTN (black label)

- SNES Kirby Super Star

Please see my trade list for other items I would like as well as more items I have to offer if you care to make a bundle deal: https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing

Sorry, but I am only willing to ship within continental US. I will ship in a well padded flat rate shipping box. Thanks for looking!

intellivision stereo mod

Sat Jan 12, 2019 12:22 PM

While I was looking at the intellivision service manual I noticed the sound chip has 3 outputs all tied together along with the external audio. I decided to try and put together a stereo mod to go along with my rgb mod and this is what I came up with. It seems like the three outputs are part of an internal DAC so I took the output of pin 3 and blended it into pins 4 and 38. This seemed to provide the most uniform sound output from either channel. The external audio is blended into both channels and has a 10pf capacitor to ground to eliminate hum. The two signals are then fed into a common base amplifier.

Attached at the bottom you can find the audio recordings and other relevant info. Enjoy!

Here is the schematic:

Here is some audio from pitfall. The sound order is two log hits, jump, vine swing, then game over. Notice how only one channel is prominent in the stereo recording. Adding a jumper wire between the two emitters resulted in dual mono signals, so add either a switch or blend pot to the emitters if you like.

This is the intro from b-17 bomber to demonstrate external audio. It's dual mono regardless of the emitter jumper discussed earlier.

Edit - the 10pf capacitor should be 1nf
