  1. You say that those boxes are useless. Is that just in terms of the condition they're in?
  2. I'm more about completion of the entire collection. So all 125 games CIB, but not necessarily in perfect condition. As for games I'd say burger time and bomb squad are my favorites, with frog bog being oddly entertaining from time to time...
  3. Which one is that? Ive got both the music and computer module one. There's another one?
  4. So I sorta forgot about this website and was last on here 2 years ago... I asked a similar question, but didn't really understand what I had. Now that I've learned a bit more, tell me what you think of what I have. I think I have every peripheral for intellivision, minus the play cable... And on a slightly different topic, does anyone know how rare/valuable a Magnavox odyssey 2 would be?
  5. Err lots... Here's what I'm missing as of now... Overlay, Box, Manual: Utopia, B-17 Bomber, Poker & Blackjack, Space Battle, Star Strike, Night Stalker, Triple Action, Advanced D&D Treasure of Tarmin, Boxing, Skiing, NFL Football, Demon Attack, Microsurgeon, Frog Bog Box, Manual: Tron Deadly Discs, Auto Racing, Space Armada Overlay, Manual: Vectron Manual: Astrosmash I've got some OCD going on about having everything for every game, so if anyone can help me out that'd be great!
  6. Well I just bought burgertime off of ebay with the overlays and instructions. Does a colored cart label make a big difference from the white ones?
  7. Eh. I had bought one a while back for $50 and it didn't work right away, so I tried to fix it. Even tried an old service manual for it with and oscilloscope and probing for the right frequencies in certain places. it all boiled down to the main synthesizer chip being fried, and good luck getting a spare one of those! I`ve been on ebay ever since. Might I ask, why burgertime in particular?
  8. So I'm not a super serious collector, but I do check game city's in my area every few months or so. So what do you guys think of my collection so far? And if anyone can tell me, how much is it worth? (P.S. Anywhere I can get overlays for these things? I'm missing quite a few, and its bugging the hell out of me!) Thanks!

  10. So I bought a used intellivoice the other day and brought it home to try with B-17 Bomber. All I got was static, but if I held the volume knob just right, I swore I could hear a voice. Anyways, I took it apart and tried to clean the volume potentiometer with contact cleaner. No change. I wiggled it around while I was using it with B-17 Bomber, and the static crap went away, but it wont do anything. However I can still play games through it and the games sound still comes through. Any ideas?

  12. Makes lots of sense, as once I got past the title screen THEN plugged in the controller, the laser in astrosmash would immediately go right or left, meaning the disc was pressed down.
  13. Allright, so here was the problem: Im thinking after all those years sitting in a cold, damp basement (Probably 20-25 years), the matrix around the circle thingy had lost elasticity or whatever, and was sticking to itself or wasn't enough distance between them, etc. So you know that white circle thing on the inside of the controller that separates the two matrixes a bit ? Yeah, it was too thin. So I cut a new circle out of an old ITunes card and put it in and it worked like a hot damn! The other controller was doing the same thing, so I just cleaned the contacts like on the last one, use the other controllers white circle and this controllers white circle, and viola! It works! Now I just gotta put it all back together and play me some Advanced D&D! (I bought like 8 games today for 30$ so lots of fun ahead!) Thanks for all the help!
  14. K, I figured out it works. so the problem IS in the controllers. I can play the game with the controllers taken apart with me holding the contacts in place, but as soon as I put it back together, the one controller acts like the circle is always being pushed right... so i cleaned the traces that had to do with the circle and still nothing. something putting pressure on them maybe?
