  1. Those are just generic stereo glasses. I use a set on my SMS instead of my new old-stock pair of Sega 3d glasses.
  2. I'm running a TNFSD server for internal network but would like to expost it. The IP is 73.164.217.232. I haven't touched any ports or directory restrictions other than it runs from the root of my Atari archive.
  3. Thanks. I'll look into that. PRGE this weekend?
  4. Hey, is there any other softwares that works with the Super Skech? I've been having fun with the thing and found myself wondering if any companion software ever came out or if a hobbyist made something. It looked like the TI may have had a Sketch Mate.
  5. A) This is awesome. Great work. I love being able to flip through the games and see the screenshots for stuff I had forgotten or whose name I couldn't remember. B) I am curious what is the difference between a "cheat version" of a game and the real version? I'd like to know how to identify that within my own archives. Thank you.
  6. I've tried multiple images of the same titles and get the exact same results. Plus, as I mentioned, they work in emulators. I'll try disabling Basic this evening.
  7. I also tried a 600XL and a second 800XL.
  8. Allow me to illustrate my ignorance on this, but how can I tell how much memory I have?
  9. So I bought an SIO2PC cord ages ago and was using it happily until I replaced that computer and got one of these new fangled devices that didn't have a serial port. I bought a usb serial converter but never could get to work so an old laptop that had serial port became my official disk emulator until my daughter used it as a Frisbee. Three moves later I'm setting up my man cave and decided to tackle that usb serial converter, instead of buying one of the newer cords, and after much head banging I finally got it to work. Unfortunately my PC gives COM1 priority to something I can't identify and every time I reboot I have to uninstall what is on COM1, reinstall the usb converter drivers, plug in the converter, move it to COM1, repeat the whole process five times, then it'll work. Anyway, that has nothing to do with my question, just venting. I'll probably spring for a new setup when I have the change. It looks like there's some cool options since I made my initial investment. So, question regarding running disk images. I keep running across things that I can run fine on an emulator but will not run on my hardware. Examples would be Cycle Knight, Hacker, and Electrician. All three of which I know ran on the hardware I had back when they were new'ish. In most cases the software will load but then will lock up at some point, never get past the splash graphic, or the graphics will be so garbled you can't play it. Is this something I can address?
  10. Hello, long time no see. I actually have two questions but I'm going to split it into two posts. First question is in regards to optimizing my picture quality. I've seen some Atari composite video & mono audio cords floating around on various sites and am wondering if that is something I can use without modifying my 800XL. I'm also figuring that would be my best bet with the exception of scart which I am looking at but as a bigger investment for the multiple retro systems I have running. I did look around and couldn't find a site explaining how this could be setup but didn't really find anything. If there is an obvious one out there than I apologize for missing it before I posted this. Caveat: I have a soldering iron somewhere but I am by no means somebody I would trust with a soldering iron around any of my systems.
  11. Nope! Yeah but I thought the monkey was cute.
  12. Got mine. It did some funny things in my 7800 so I wasn't sure if some things were intentional. I could not find a 2600 power supply which surprised me. I did find 4 7800 ones. I most of stashed them in the wrong power supply crate. Intentional things? 1) No sound at all in spaceship stage 2) Disappearing/Reappearing enemies in the hallway scene. I could still shoot them while they were invisibile. Other stuff I'm sure wasn't intentional was that I would drop into the crater and the game would freeze. I thought I was missing something at first. Jiggle the handle around and the hallway would flicker on then right back to the crater. Switched controllers, same thing. Cold boot, get to the hall way but either I or the enemies can move. Cold boot, get to the hallway and I can start to move but then it would reset the stage. Cold boot, can move around a little and maybe get an enemy or two before stage reset. Cold boot, finished the hallway stage and got to around round 6 before loosing what I thought was my last life. It gave me one more ship but the lizard thing flickered and vanished along with the other ships and I was left alone on the screen but was able to crash and end the game. Tried starting a new game without a boot and it was all kinds of hokey.
