Finished listening to it. I enjoyed some of the historical facts on the early days of the ST, though I'm sure the audience is already well informed on the subject. My one comment is that for a podcast about rediscovering your feelings about the ST, I feel like I didn't hear much about your personal perspective on it. I would prefer less on the price of UK magazines and more on what you thought of the software you tried, some frustrations you had, and how it differs from when you originally owned it.

Long shot, I know... Looking for an Atari TT or a Falcon, can't pay what I see the few going for on ebay (900$+) but I can pay a fair bit plus trade in some rare console games. I feel like I've been hoarding console games I rarely play so I'd rather have a decent exchange happen and see they go to a fan. Looking for just the system and keyboard (if TT) in good condition. Some console games I'm up for trading: JP Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru aka Psychic Killer Taromaru Sega Saturn US Shining Force 3 Sega Saturn US Earthbound SNES (I have the strategy guide somewhere too) US Skies of Arcadia Legend Gamecube US Elemental Gimmick Gear Dreamcast have some others, if you're interested just ask!

Has anyone had luck connecting an 8bit (including c64) to these?

Well spoke too soon, I cleaned off Star Raiders II with an alcohol swab and it works great

I recently acquired an 800XL and it seems to be working well. I'm able to play all my 400/800 cartridges without a hitch. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the two XE cartridges I own. I've got Star Raiders II & Ace of Aces, neither of which will load. It seems to hang for a second then dump me into the test screen. I tried holding down Option to disable Basic, but same results for both. I did a ram test that came back ok, the machine is almost brand new too. Am I just having bad luck with these cartridges or is there some incompatibility problem I'm unaware of?

I really like this podcast! I think it would also work well as a youtube series as sometimes it's a bit hard to follow along by audio only. I'm really curious if any of this software would be at all useful in this day in age.
