  1. Again, thanks for the suggestions. force_edid_audio makes no difference. I tried the Pi on another TV and everything works. So there is some incompatibility between Raspbian/Retropie/EmulationStation/JZIntv and a Dell U2414. The Dell works fine with Chromecast and a Bluray player. Huh.
  2. Thanks for the ideas. I've tried the HDMI settings in boot/config.txt but none make any difference. As to your additional suggestion I'm not sure it's relevant as I'm not using ECS ROMs.
  3. Hi guys. I've been following this thread for a while (ever since my Intellivision Flashback started to play up) and have finally decided to show my effort, as well as ask a question. The photos are of my Flashback unit fitted with a Pi2 and my own Intellivision controller-to-USB board, all attached to two 3d printed frames. I was going to attach the Pi "face-up" but could not get it's connectors to be accessible. But when I tested fitted it upside-down on 25mm spacers everything pretty much fell together: the Pi would now be right-way-up in the case, it's connectors are right next to the bottom rear wall of the cabinet, and - most amazingly - the small "fence" in the bottom cabinet holds the Pi snugly against the rear wall (after opening holes for the connecttors and a little bit of filing) so pushing connectors in and out doesn't push the Pi around. I use the Flashback's power adapter, and attached the Reset button to my controller board where it is converted via the hackfile into an exit command. It all works surprisingly well. Except for audio. This leads to my question. I have audio out set to 'Auto'. If i connect the Pi up by the 3.5mm plug it works fine. If I connect it up via HDMI only I get Intellivoice games working properly but all other games are silent. If I force audio to 3.5mm and connect HDMI to the monitor and 3.5mm to an amp then all games will work properly. Has anyone come across this? Is it peculiar to my setup? Why do Intellivoice games give full sound but not others?
