I was brought up on computers from an early age from playing games on my mothers North Star Horizon PC, "having a go" on a Xerox star 8010 Dandelion and spending weekends playing around on a Mac Plus when all my friends were using BBC Model B's. And then I moved on to my beloved ZX Spectrum.
I've been an Atari user since 17th October 1987. Why do I remember that date? Because my parents and I had to drive through Kent, UK to get to Silica Shop in Orpington to buy our 520STFM and mono monitor. This was the weekend after the Great Storm of '87 in the UK (http://www.metoffice...ies/great-storm). Kent was one of the places hit the hardest by the storm and I vividly recall trees down everywhere. I also vividly recall buying the ST that day and getting it home to use it. Happy days.
Since then I've owned and upgraded the ST a few times (hardware x86 PC emulator, Blitter, HDD etc) and bought a Jaguar and Lynx. I still have all three and have very fond memories of them.
