  1. Thank you everyone ^.^ Marco, I will look into the Eurocon. Joe did mention this to me before but I'm a spazzo. >.< More info about NAVA (because I asked that very same question yesterday!) http://www.digitpress.com/nava.html *takes breath* Atari-Jess, the avatar is from Phantasy Star Online, but you may have seen me on any number of message boards! I have a VERY DULL AND BORING JOB and find myself checking a regular set of message sites! ^.^ I'll get fired soon and regret that but sod it! 2. We only have the benefit of ONE gaming conference in the UK (that I know of, ECTS), and it was rather disappointing. T_T;; Now I see there are classic gaming meetings and expos all over the states. I can't wait to visit but am taking a pulse of who goes where, how big these all are and everything! I posted similar on the DP board but wanted to get as much info as possible before making travel arrangements. Tell me! Tell me! ^.^
  3. My vote is for Haunted House! Eeep! It's so... DARK @_@ *fumbles for match* Eeep! Was that a...a... ghost? @_@! The creepy sound effects like the wind and slamming door are the tops! I love this game ^.^
  4. Thank you peoples! ^_^ I've printed this entire thread (even the useless bits right after my first post) and will be using it to practice tonite and tomorrow for the butt-kicking I'm going to apply to my friends when we get-together on Saturday! ~_^ *rubs hands in sinister fashion* Thank you again! ^.^
  5. w00tie! I have had this game for some time but never had paddles until this past week-end T_T;; w00tie! I practiced for a bit and then invited my brother to play the game with me, where I proceeded to wallop his backside! Now I need another set of paddles so that I can simultaneous beat the backsides of three friends ^.^ Anyone have any tips or strategies? You know, just in case they've *played* the game before?
  6. La la la... What? I think most of those old "ugly" games are quite charming! The way they look is very much the reason I go back to playing them! Games should not be judged by their graphics. *stops quoting other people* How about that horrid Karate game? What a pile of rubbish. o_O
  7. I just had a Commodore 64 hooked up in my flat ^_^ and in the box of games that came with it were a few Atari titles! The 2 or 3 that I played were actually quite good (Donkey Kong and Moon Patrol). *pats Moon Patrol cartridge* I've read that Atarisoft did a terrible job with Intellivision games (though I have not played them personally). What systems/games did Atarisoft do for other systems that you would consider "outstanding"? *opens notepad*
  8. Well hello gamers! *sets up podium* *taps microphone* I play mostly role playing games and was wondering - besides Adventure, are there any other games that you might consider "role playing games" on Atari? Any Atari system as long as it's cartridge. Thank you! *falls off of podium* *runs away*
  9. Very nice ^_^ It took a little long for my browser to load it, but that could just be my browser. *scolds browser* Anyway, very nice ^_^
  10. Boing Boing! Kind of new to collecting but saw those big big big collections on the DP site! How MANY games do people here have? Do you collect for more than Atari systems? I only have about 50 Atari games but I love them all! Just curious what others are collecting. Looks like a nuclear shelter over there! "Here comes world war three, everyone to the shelter" "Yay! Atari!" [ 09-28-2001: Message edited by: Lee Furie ]
  11. Let's put it to the vote! http://pub10.ezboard.com/fretrogamingclass...icID=1235.topic
  12. I'm in the UK and ALL I have are PAL carts! I had heard about the Digital Press guide and got one of those and it's been great. I've asked DP to put that PAL list online and Joe stated that it's a possibility. Unfortunately the Guides are impossible to get at this time (sold out, I think) but with a little more persuasion he might go for putting that PAL section online. Start a petition! DP is at www.digitpress.com and their email address is digitalpress@email.com
  13. Undeniably Atari 2600. It isn't JUST the games, it's the "aura", if that makes any sense. It just reminds my of a simpler time. I really grew up on NES and have fond memories of it but the Atari 2600 is just so... charming! ^_^
  14. I don't have an answer to your question Leonard but I thought I'd make my first post here right now. BOING!?! ^_^ I want it! If it's not as rare in the UK then maybe I can find one (I'm in Islington)? Sounds like fun, and it looks sort of like Q*bert... is it as good as it looks and sounds? BOING! BOING! *hops away*
