  1. I've sent them a message, so hopefully will hear from them soon.. Also thinking of selling some stuff off, maybe my 7800 games, to fund buying a second Vectrex. Especially as it is probably most played retro console so a backup one would be nice. Should never have sold off my other one, but hey ho.
  2. I afraid I'm going to have to bow out. Last night my Vectrex stopped working whilst playing Scramble. The graphics stretched out for about 10 seconds, then shrunk to normal size. I switched the console off and when I switched it back on I got a humming sound with some flickering on screen then nothing. I switched it on again an hour later and there was the humming with flickering but that also went to nothing. Now I get nothing at all. I don't really want to start messing around with the insides like I did with my old second Vectrex which I have since sold. My laptop is also not working so I can't play via emulation either. I will get it sorted at some point, it's just not a priority at his time. Anyone know of a good repair service in the UK? Preferably in the south.
  3. Probably my favourite genre of game. Definitely my favourite NES game. I no longer have the NES so these days I get to play it on the Rare Replay collection.
  4. No, my last four lives were all wasted at the exact same spot. The photo is of the final life on the 2nd level maze.
  5. My screenshot shows the fourth death of my last four lives, all at that same spot.
  6. Yeah, that doesn't seem to be happening for me on the 2nd maze. On the first run the top and bottom part of the ship can glide through the wall unhindered, but on the 2nd run it's not happening. I was just wandering if it was designed that way or just one of those quirks the screen can have. Whatever it is, I'm just going to have to get gud.
  7. 65330 Original hardware and Sean Kelly multi cart. Is it me or is the collision detection a little less forgiving when flying through the maze on the 2nd run compared to the first run?
  8. Of all the SMS games I've own, the ones that I still keep going back to are all four of the Wonder Boy games, Spy Vs Spy, Power Strike, Master of Darkness, Secret Command and Choplifter.
  9. Wonder Boy. In the meantime, Master Higgins can burn......
  10. An improvement over my previous score. 35188. On original hardware.
  11. I'd like to thank you both for doing this. I don't get heavily involved in the Vectrex community, I was in the facebook group for a little while but decided that facebook is not for me, so it's great that you are doing it here, and I appreciate the effort you guys are putting in to do this. I like that it is a month long challenge as I don't get too many opportunities to fire up my Vectrex, and this gives me a good chance of submitting some scores each month.
  12. 13140 on original hardware. I'm finding heading for the brightest enemy is paying off.
  13. Dude, you're replying to someone who hasn't logged on to this forum for nearly 16 years.
  14. Looks like a mix of Gravity Crash and Pixel Junk Shooter on the PS3 and Vita. The graphics design is much nicer in those games though. I'll still buy it if the price is right, ie under £10
