  1. Now GEM will not even start with your new TESTXB28GEM. I did shorten the filenames. I reloaded older ones, 6 blinks of red light on FinalGrom99, and they are loaded. Perhaps my FinalGrom99 has a fault in one bank that only shows up in these Super Operating Systems. RXB2015 runs Xbasic program "Skyscape". RXB2021 has an error in running. Got an RXB2021 cartridge ordered to take FG99 out of the loop, will retest Skyscape then.
  2. Swapped out P-box with NanoPEB with its own 32k. Still same problem.
  3. Now this is a puzzle. Swapped out with a spare, non-F18 TI console. Same problem. FOR, PRINT, NEXT in a nested line gives a syntax error. Un-nested, all on separate lines works until CALLing T80 crashes, but we expected this. Worked fine with previous one. I could try a third one.
  4. My Finalgrom99 runs many .bin files fine, except for RXB version 2021, some instability. I have run Jedimatt42's 32k Expansion Memory Test ver 1.3, no problems. GEM works fine if I rewrite the programs to eliminate multi-statement lines with the PRINT in the middle. Still have scrambled lines when LISTing after a crash. LISTing again straightens it out. While EDITing a line, making and change and pressing ENTER gives SYNTAX ERROR (!). I have to list the line, edit it, and arrow down to next line to get it accepted. I could make a video . . .
  5. Working with XB28GEM20210815, renamed and loaded onto SD card for Finalgrom99. TI console, P-box, 32k. Typed in program from page 14, post #327, by senior falcon, to demonstrate XB256, T40, T80, and TML. Syntax error in line 31, where FOR, CALL LINK("PRINT"), and NEXT are on one multi-statement line. Retyped program to put them all on separate lines. Runs. If the program crashes from syntax error, if I try to EDIT any lines, XB256 refuses to let me, get garbled statements, etc.
  6. I have one of the original T.I.M.s with SOB on motherboard. Does anyone have an adapter to hook up the 9-pin C-sync output to a modern 15-pin monitor? I loved this setup, did many programs with Y.A.P.P. and X-hi 80-col graphics that I cannot run anymore without a monitor. I remember some sort of "standup arcade game" adapter that was designed to convert anything to anything, so you could create your own arcade machine, but do not know where to get one . . . Thanks.
  7. Thanks for all the great games! I have only had my Flashrom99 for less than a week now, so this is all new to me. Can you point me to how to convert a physical cartridge to .bin file? I have only run a physical TI system, no emulators. The cart is "Red Baron" by Databiotics, my P-Gram says it is one rom file. Thanks.

    P-gram+

OK. Thanks. I'll give it a try!

    P-gram+

After quite a few years, my P-gram has stopped working. Can run the PGOS program to reload the OS, but the menu program cannot access the Grom screen. Replaced the battery twice, still the same problem. I am running "real steel", not an emulator. Victor
  10. I will be demonstrating the "Utility of the Month, sound effects, 9/92" disk this Saturday Chicago User's Group Meeting on Ustream.ustream url.txt I can't seem to paste the url directly, but it is in the attachment.
  11. Reply to chopper commander: "was there ever a Lord of the Rings TOD game?" Yes. Ken Gilliland's "Halls of Lost Moria". It had a special map saved that was very wide on screen, to simulate a cavern system tunneling through the mountain. The instructions said to use the "load existing game" and not to "create a new game". Victor
