Thanks to Your last post I've found it If You use Highspeed-OS it's reproducible, Stock OS works just fine... but only in emulation. On real hardware on Stock-OS You have no repetable keyboard as I've described above edit: don;t worry it seems to be related to OS rather than Ultimate itself.

It is reproducible in Altirra/x64 2.70-test23 choose: 65XE/130XE, turn on VBXE, as hard disk choose image i've sent you, choose SIDE2, as ultimate firmware choose full rom image from first post in this thread. As KEY ON command is executed via autoexec.bat in my image the keyboard will be unresponsive but atari is working ok. So boot atari, you will be dropped to sparta commander in right or left pane pres [ctrl] + L, choose ie. drive 9. You can not type

Me again So I'm here with sparta 4.47, bios 0.35, pbi bios 1.3 Some oddities I've found (I don't consider it is a bug, just different behaviour to original bios): 1. if you run old school vbxe demo from sparta with X /C OLDVBXE.XEX and then go to ulitmate bios with [help] + [reset] the color theme is shifted. I use by default 01, which is, to my eye - brown, after runing demo it's blue. All schemes are shifted untill you power cycle machine with back switch. 2. when in sparta or sc, if you try to change drive to some that does not exists AND type some command like DIR [return] or non existing binary name [return] the keyboard looses auto repeat. But in strange way. You can not use same key twice in a row, the second press does nothing. So I can type ie. COLD [return] because these are different keys, but I can not use [control+down/up arrow] more than once, to navigate. I need to press [control+down/up arrow] [delete or some other key that does nothing] to repeat It's even better! If I now type KEY ON, the whole keyboard stops responding Only [help] key is working. 3. when I go to ultimate bios and press L for loader and mount single ATR with [return] key it works as expected. But after [help] + [reset] and C (cold) the ATR is still mounted as D1: It's nice because I can now play with ATR content but I don't know how to unmount it :/ The onnly way seems to be power cycle machine with back switch. It works TL;DR: The problem was combination of bios 0.35 and pbi bios 1.0. It should be bios 0.35 and pbi bios 1.3 as stated in first post! Today I did the same as yesterday. I took uflash and pbi bios 1.3 from first post, I made virtual floppy with them (AspeQT). This time it did not hang on erasing. The only difference is that the computer was off for 8 hours Now it works as little unicorn sh*%ing with rainbow fjc - sorry for wasting your time and bandwidth, I'll write "I will read the docs." 100 times in The Last Word If you are able to, please keep the good work!

ok i have pbi bios 1.0 maybe it's the problem i'am trying to flash 1.3 but uflash stwarts it prints erasing and... hangs can You give me some package eith uflash and pbi 1.3 bios? ok i need some sleep it's 17 minutes past midnigt in poland

Hello fjc, I have strange problem :/ I have 65xe + u1mb(lotharek's) + side2 + vbxe. On side2 there are 3 partitions. First one is bootable. I've updated sparta to 4.47 and bios to 35. Whith old (original) bios sparta was booting from side2 first partion without problem. Now with updated bios 35 after switching on with back switch sparta does not see side2 partitions. Sometime (only sometimes) after typing D1: [return] DIR [return] i see black screen, after pressing reset sparta sees side2 APT partitions and reads autoexec and so. Other times after typing above I only see 176 Access denied, and if I use reset button sparta does not see side2 partitions :/ edit: it's not loose cart - side loader works every time. it seems more reproducible (black screen and working apt partitions) if i enable boot logo. Some race conditions?
