Hello all: I've been a long time collector, but my sadly, the time has come to part with my stuff. I'm looking for some advice on the best way to sell some of the more prized pieces in my collection (300 or so 2600 games and boxes of other stuff), which isn't grand, but has a few gems. Included in that bunch are three of the blue Xante games -- Solor Storm, Alien and Crypts of Chaos (which actually says McCartney's instead of Xante on the label). Any advice would be great. I was one of the folks who sparked some discussion about the games back in 2001, and some of the scans here on the AA site are from my three ... Is ebay still the best way to go? Or some other place? And if anyone wants to make me an offer, I'll listen. Thanks, Randy

i have had no success at all since moving to eastern north carolina back in 2001. i came from two fertile lands in phoenix and birmingham, alabama before this, so it was quite the culture shock. it has pretty much made me a creature of just playing my old games all the time and wishing i could find a new one. the last "find" i had here in New Bern, NC was about a year ago when I found an unopened pac-man pack-in game at a GCF thrift store. i almost peed my pants when i saw it since it was something other than the occassional combat or gorf cartridge. good luck. the best part is the search, and i'm ever searching...though not buying much of late.

having not been here in a while, quite a while to be exact, I feel for you. even though i've not posted a billion times, i remember when you were a wee youngin' here on the chat rooms (sorry, i'm a bit of a lurker). but geez...i'm very jealous of that collection. hope you get all that is coming to you. that deserve much more than the 1,225 it's up to right now...if i had the cash, you'd be getting a huge paypal, but alas i'm not in that income bracket (i'm a journalist...) in fact, i've thought of selling the best of my collection in recent months, but held on. good luck with the kids... they are a good investment as well.

Back in late 70s, early 80s a local True Value Hardware store first started renting movies, then games. I actually rented a couple of Colecovision games I think in 1983. They had Atari and made it up to Nintendo before a Blockbuster opened in town and drove their video/game renting side business out of business. Ahh the memories of talking with someone and they specifically ordered a movie to rent for you..and you could get a video game. And this was me as a kid/teenager.

Kyle: I'm in New Bern. Since moving to NC three years ago, having found very much. It's pretty dry. Only place I seem to ever find things is Goldsboro. By the way, where is that store in Raleigh? Randy

I'm at work right now fretting going home. I left for work at 1:20 this afternoon and the eye passed over my area a little while after that. The river by my apartment was way over its banks and getting higher, making my little first-floor place a target. I guess if it did hit, the Xante cartridges will become even more rare I'm heading home in about an hour...gulp.

Question: I am one of the folks who hasn't received his Thrust from you Jahfish. I have also moved since I ordered over 16 months ago. So I need to get you my new mailing address, otherwise I'll never get it.... Randy

How long is "soon" in Jahfish's mind? I vaguely remember being told I would receive my order "soon" 11 months ago. Now it's been six days since Thomas said Jahfish would post to us... Just wondering...

Kyle: Where's this place? I live in Greenville and rarely find anything, anywhere. I have stumbled across some Fairchild Channel F games recently, but nothing as cool as a store in Raleigh???? Where is it??? Randy

Knew I was on the list of "still waiting" Just wanted to be sure I was on the list of "ready to sue his pants off!!!" It really irks me that Jahfish is buying stuff on e-bay. So, I guess that means, add *@#$%?/!!!!!!!! to my name....It will be one year ago in t-minus 55 days....... Randy
