  1. Really puts things in perspective.
  2. I of course knew of these white labels cause....I'm a nerd and love reading about odd stuff like this, but I always assumed it was a new label slapped on a newly made cartridge, it makes no sense to me that they put another label over a perfectly good one. They didn't even change the name, the boxes still say Super Challenge Football, just the label changed, so why put in the effort to put a new label over an arguably better looking label?
  3. I found this strange thing in my collection, I don't remember where I got it, probably a bulk lot. It looks like someone has put a white label Overton of a black label. Just curious if anyone else has seen anything like this before.
  4. Wow...that is a dad joke if ever I saw one...
  5. Space is an issue, apartment living an all that, I did buy an RF converter, but it must have been the wrong kind as it didn't seem to work, guess I need to do a little more digging. Just frustrating the only answer without altering the system seems to be an old VCR. Anyway, thanks for you help, I appreciate it.
  6. Guess that would help, sorry I forgot to include it, but it has two RCA ports with provided adaptors to make it a three or five point RCA Composite or Component, and of course HDMI. It also has USB ports, but I'm not sure if that can be used for connection or if that is just for power for things like Roku Sticks.
  7. My unpopular opinion is I miss being able to read about the companies and cartridge styles on AtariAge here, it was a fun bit of history I miss.
  8. This probably already exists, but I can't find it, so I'll just have to post my own topic and hope someone can help me out. I had to get a new television set, and it ignores all analog channels on the coax connection, in fact, the one in the bedroom, little 19", it doesn't even have a coax connection at all, I checked. So I need a little help in getting the 2600 hooked up to these newer sets, is there some work around that I don't know about?
  9. AH! Got it, well, the other parts are missing then, and I certainly don't have the technical skills to make this work. Oh well, thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

    What is this

I have no idea what this thing is.
  11. Sorry about the size, all I have is my phone to take the pictures with. And work's been crazy so I'm sorry for not getting back here for so long. Anyway, I took a few pictures of the insides, and there's wires to the strange studs the poke through the front of the cartridge. I have no idea what they could be for. Edit: I added more photos the Album, close up of the studs on the front, let me know if there's any other photos you all want me to take.
  12. So, a friend of mine who owns a game store got this in a bundle of Atari games. He's never seen anything like it, and gave it to me wondering if I knew what it was. I have never seen anything like this, so I ask you all, anyone know what this is? I plugged it into an Atari, and I couldn't get it to do anything. As you can see, it has these strange pegs coming out of it, and has this label on the back, but I don't know what they might do, and what the label means. The pegs are perfectly poked out of the casing, with no scratches around them, making him think that they were not made by a person, but I'm not sure. I think it looks like a regular Combat cartridge that has been modified. I have it with me if anyone wants me to upload more photos of it. Thanks in advance for any help identifying this thing.
  13. Let's see, Asteriods to Ms. Pac Man to Dig Dug, to Combat to Combat(for some reason) to Missile Command to Pac Man to Yars' Revenge to Frogger to Donkey Kong Junior. Did I win?
  14. With the Genesis, SNES, N64, and Jaguar, most hold it label down and rotate vertically into place. I almost did it that way with the Atari, but again, saw that end label, flipped it and then put it in. It was I wanted to make a note of the game and looked at the wrong side that it was the other way around from what I expected. Failed my Observation roll.
