  1. I'm not sure I would call it lucked out at $70.. maybe $30... looks pretty crappy to me to be honest.. I think a $30 Android box will have more power so paying $40 for KB and mouse and for privilege of having PCB inside KB is too much. But that's just MY view
  2. A quick plug for a friend of mine who runs a channel and has made 11 recent Atari ST vids - playlist here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjXZsqjhnBUp37Nqo30A-rKNJkGeGCVBf Have a look, make some comments, say I sent you and maybe even subscribe - he's got more ST content planned and some new hardware he intends to design and build... Go view now!! Meth
  3. I didn't Bad mouth him. Just his website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks I'm gonna run it through a GBS8220 so just need to find a wiring diagram that shows me how to connect that switch. I'll wire the ST 14 pin to a standard VGA plug (and then join sync etc inside the GBS8220 casing). I guess I could put the switch in that case and make the cable simpler.
  5. Don't suppose you have a photo of it since their website doesnt? EDIT http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/monadapt.htm Couldn't find it from their website but did find it via Google... Quaint is not the word I would use to describe BE's website
  6. I hope Best Electronics cables are better than their website design? Its a single image... So 1990s! And then it just tells you to call or email for info.. Duh?!
  7. I was puzzling a bit (not owned an ST for a while) and thinking, if modern LCD TVs are TVs they sync to 15.6, but if they also have VGA inputs etc they must do 31.2... so do ANY of them accept all 3 ST video modes on a single cable/? Or is a switch still the only way and who still sells them? The usual suppliers all seem to have stopped
  8. I want speed. Will have to wait for new booster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. This is gonna confuse choices for me... MonSTEr - IDE, TOS-flash, AltRam New Booster - Speed, IDE, AltRam I assume the Booster will work with your TOS boards as well... STFM or STE? Hoping for latter!
  10. That is great. Might seem obvious but I write that 15Mb image to my 8Gb CF card (or any card), then boot my Atari from it, then load the partitioner. Can I then swap the CF card (I'm not gonna be using USD) and partition a blank card or must I repartition the one I wrote the 15Mb image to? And I guess then I put the card back into a PC to transfer files to the card? Sure I read somewhere that only first partition is visible on a PC? Sorry if these are dumb questions!
  11. I have no prob with paying for the driver (not the 45 Euro one though!) but he only makes a 1Gb image available. How do I get the driver onto the ST with no FDD?
  12. Nice video Galax... but for people who have got a "new" ST with zero floppies or software, I wonder if a pre-config image is available... What I am looking for is something with 14 x 511Mb (ie for an 8Gb card) that I can write on my PC and insert into an IDE to CF adapter on an STE.... Any ideas where I might find ??
  13. Thanks, that will be very helpful. I would have thought it could sit above the STE Ram shield... I dont see the need to sacrifice the FDD although I probably will fit this HxC FDD emu from Lotharek I have sitting gathering dust so far.. My worry really is how to do the wiring or if the cable can easily be routed back inside (most likely since I am hopeless at soldering)
