  1. Who What Why Which When...These are all just W Words.... Speaking of Which, When...We always seem to forget poor When, and When We forget When We might ask Why? Who (do) We ask Why about When you Wonder? Well, While We...Wait! What? Why ask Why When you can ask What Who Which When or just Wonder Why not I Wonder then Which Wanderings do cause you to Wonder Which and When but not Who of course because Well it's a miracule Who sounds less like a W Word and more like an H Word Whereas Whereas is a W Word Where the W is followed by an H...Hot Damnit!
  2. It may sound weird but,...Not only do I agree...Because more information is always better, but this is similar to a problem I Constantly see nowadays. And that is, someone puts out an Ad/YouTube Video/Article about a new game coming out and they start by telling you all about the game WITHOUT telling you what system, what EXACT system it is for. The worst offenders here will put out a game in some retro style so you're thinking oh a new game for Atari 2600 or a new NES game, but it turns out to be for the PC, Just say PC right up front! IS this really that hard??? Another one I hate is listing the system at the END of the article....Or saying it is coming out for "Play Station" and "XBOX", when it is in fact coming out for XBOXONE S or Play Station 5!
  3. That's Galaga I think, But your point is well taken... Galaxian has that left side joystick as well... Remember TARG and Spectar? Totally Right handed! And Frenzy and Berzerk? Right Handed!* *But can also accommodate lefties. What's my point? I don't think I have one,....well...Maybe,...The NES, which I love BTW, along with Turbografx, SNES, and Genesis, etc, and the rest (that followed) were left handed controllers! But it's all good sometimes it's good to be more ambidextrous (In your thinking too and activating the other half of your brain)...
  4. Destroyer 7800 Dragon's Descent Rikki & Vikki All on ATARI 7800.
  5. BTW, Happy belated Birthday! But it's 4-20! (D'oh!) Spaced it earlier... What days of the week is your show on?
  6. Both versions seem OK,...Well, I don't own a Switch (always thought the controllers with the D-Pad constantly in the wrong spot, etc. looked Awful), but to my eyes (Just glanced quickly though) the Switch version looks far superior as the arcade counterpart had too many overdone particle and lighting FX going on...Are they trying to distract me?? It's hard to watch sometimes. Looking at it carefully, If they could just do away with all of the extraneous info, The character heads, the rankings, the HUD, it would do wonders...Just let me see the track unobstructed, ya know? (Maybe just put a small ranking in the lower corner somewhere and call it a day...)
  7. Yeah that looks about right... It's very brief but I found this...So here's the place...
  8. At any rate,...It's HERE ...Growing up this was a Montgomery Wards about 4 blocks from my house. PS Looks like they're taking all that casino $$$$ and putting in Lazer Tag, Escape rooms, bowling...
  9. No idea which one exactly, but he said it was boring, and the sound coming from the speakers was "muffled"...
  10. Around here, it Does seem like arcades keep popping up. One in the mall, a new pool hall,...A Barcade downtown has good good games including old ones, but they raised prices through the roof and they don't maintain their games, at least they serve beer!...In Denver they have good ones, 3 right off the top of my head (Old games, Free Play, some with beer), but they're a couple of hours away...Recently, (here) I noticed an arcade above the casino (Illegal casino, oh wait those are "games of skill", and horse racing stuff that is legal; it's a "grey area" that continues to thrive, lots of places and slot machines (errr, "Games of skill" now in most bars))...Anyway, that arcade; It was a bright, fluorescent, lit up, horrible type place filled with Giant screens and redemption games...After going in and finding nothing of interest, I actually apologized to the 16 year old kid ignoring me from behind the counter; (OK, he seemed nice actually, haaa),...But I said I preferred "older" games and left. I got the story there as my friend also runs games/pinballs etc. He said he offered the "club" all the games they'd want and they said No, they would do their own. I've hypothesized, that maybe it is a place for parents to drop off their kids, while they gamble downstairs... At least my friend got to play the new Mario Kart game there. He said he'd considered getting one because his "Cruisin' Blast" is so popular. He said he really dodged a bullet there because while players love his Crusin' Blast machine and people get in there and have fun and yell, go nuts and just really dig it...The new Mario Kart he said was boring as hell and people would hate it...
  11. I'm probably in the minority and somewhat driven by nostalgia, But the more I see modern arcades, with their GIANT screens and Huge games taking up huge real estate, (Your Space Invaders Frenzy, Fast & Furious, and HALO Firestorm blahditty Blah), and (understandably) costing more for the arcade owner and costing more to play; The more I appreciate the way it used to be, with smaller cabs and screens where you'd walk up and enjoy your game, (Or maybe you and a friend for fighting, co-op, or alternating players type games)...I'm actually glad the Asteroids: Recharged is not a Giant, room-sized, experience... Maybe the pendulum will swing and it will get back to being able to enjoy your game in anonymity and not broadcast it to everyone who walks by, nor worry about how many tickets the machine is spitting out... PS: Nothing wrong with the Big games, per se, I just Also want the smaller cabs to come back in fashion.
  12. Also as a cost saving deal I'm sure, it looks like the new VS doesn't have the cool color-changing LEDs...But I'm just going off of what it looks like.
  13. So join us here each week my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,...

For some reason I woke up with that in my head,...So I got up,  left a Status Update and went back to bed...Used to watch that every day before Brady Bunch! (ages 1-5-ish)

Yup, I used to watch that a ton!  Mr. Ed, Dennis the Menace, M*A*S*H, The A-Team, Airwolf and more!  Great shows those were.

  14. (Ignore the little sad icon, I was kind of kidding)...;) Maybe you'll instantly replace the joystick, add ROMs and end up liking it...Myself I returned it almost instantly! (The Only "Mini" I've ever returned). It was a very frustrating product...I'm very surprised anyone likes these! (Usually the same people rip on Flashbacks - which work fine right out of the box...) Anyway, I wish you luck! And I'm kind of curious what you will think. (I'm usually so upbeat so I don't mean to be negative here, But I do wonder...) Let us know in the future won't you? Cheers!
