  1. I know about composite video. I also think that Y/C is been preserved, but I saw early post about loosing text on NTSC machine, and I am confused about that.
  2. And for the cable: I made it from a scart cable, and whole cable have one shield (audio is not separated in shielding ). I cut one end of scart cable, and just mounted DIN5 plug on that end of the cable.
  3. I read somewhere in this forum that disconnecting RF modulator from Atari 130xe can causes video problem, specially on text issue. I found schematics on Atari and I think it is not true, because chroma and luma goes into RF, and output is composite. Removing RF only composite signal will disappear. Do you agree with me? I plan to change all electrolytic capacitors and change them, and after that, do ultra video mod. So I am confused. May I remove RF modulator from Atari 130xe PAL? Alexander
  4. I have stock Atari 130xe Pal version. I made scart cable do connect Atari to LCD TV VOX. Picture is almost OK (because of vertical banding). When I switch it on, I can hear sound from TV speakers even if I didnt press any key. The sound became louder if I touch any key. It is more electric sound. Atari works fine. The cable is shealded. P.S. When I touch capacitors near color pot the sound also became louder. Is it possible that they are the problem? I measured voltage from PSU in atari working condidtion and it is 5.07 V. Is it possible that there are other problems except electrolytic caps? Alexander
