  1. I spent some time trying to dial in perfectly centered 1080p 4x settings (5x for Game Gear). Here are my results. I would be interested if anyone has arrived at the same or different numbers: Genesis x320 Width: 1360 (square pixels) x256 Width: 1243 (true 4:3) [Mega Sg 4:3 preset is incorrect] Horizontal Position: 21 * Height: 960 (4.0x) Vertical Position: 50 Disable H Interpolation 320x: checked Disable H Interpolation 256x: unchecked Disable V Interpolation: checked * The horizontal position setting is shared between the 320 and 256 modes and produces different results in each. 21 does not perfectly center either mode, but it is a compromise setting that brings both fairly close. (Would it be possible to add separate horizontal position settings for each mode to the firmware?) Master System and ColecoVision Width: 1170 (4:3) Horizontal Position: 19 Height: 960 (4.0x) Vertical Position: 54 Disable H Interpolation: unchecked Disable V Interpolation: checked Game Gear Width: 960 (true 4:3) [Mega Sg 4:3 preset is incorrect] Horizontal Position: 6 Height: 720 (5.0x) Vertical Position: 45 Disable H Interpolation: checked Disable V Interpolation: checked
  2. Tried my Mega Sg for a bit tonight with the jailbreak. It's really fantastic so far. A minor quibble: Does anyone else find the mechanics of the power button to be kind of odd? I have to press it on either the left or right side for it to work. Pressing it in the middle does nothing. I guess this could be due to the LED being in the middle of the button?
  3. Received mine today. They sent me the JPN model as ordered. (I do kind of wish I had opted for the USA or EUR models, but hey, that can be my excuse if I ever want a second one.) Can't wait to dig into it in the coming days. I wonder when the other cartridge adapters will be available? I need the Game Gear one for sure.
  4. This shipping mix-up might actually work out okay for me. I ordered the JPN SKU but started to regret it later (I'm not sure I like the red/blue button combo). If I end up getting the EUR SKU, I think I'll be happy with the white buttons. It would go nicely with my JPN Super Nt. Still though, it's obviously an unfortunate situation for most people if they don't get the version they ordered.
  5. A quick question: if I want to make a custom LED pattern for the Super Nt, how do I go about this? (I'd like a simple solid light green.) Is there a freeware program that I can use for this?
  6. Can you share which game, and what specifically the option does? Again, just curious.
  7. Got my Super Nt yesterday and absolutely love it so far. Kevtris, amazing work. I'm curious about the "Mode 5 & 6 Interlace Disable" option. Which games these would affect, and how exactly? I also seem to have encountered a bug with NBA Jam. I couldn't access the system menu from within this game, and after power cycling, I couldn't get any HDMI signal. I had to completely unplug from power in order to make the Super Nt work again. Edit: I should note I'm on firmware 3.9.
  8. I bought a couple of the adapter plugs from Console5, and they work fine. I successfully used a Genesis 1 power supply with my SNES.
  9. I received the US SNES power supply that I linked to earlier from Retro Game Supply. Unfortunately the DC plug adapter they included does not fit my US SNES. It seems the main problem is that the adapter has a 1.0mm pin, while the SNES apparently accepts a 0.7mm pin. I used the contact form on their site to ask them about this. In the same order I also got their NES, Genesis 1, and Genesis 2 adapters, and they work well so far.
  10. I was reminded in another forum that you can also get plug adapters separately, giving you lots of options for alternative power supplies: http://console5.com/store/super-nintendo-snes-power-supply-adapter-plug-cable.html http://console5.com/store/2-pin-interchangeable-dc-plug-adapter-for-us-ntsc-super-nintendo.html
  11. I recently ordered one of these: http://en.retrogamesupply.com/products/power-supply-for-nintendo-super-nes-us-ntsc I haven't received it yet so I can't personally confirm the quality, but it sounds good on paper. The pictures show it comes with a plug adapter to fit the proprietary SNES power jack.
