  1. Unfortunately it isn’t - definitely disappointing but the general public won’t realize it, IMO. https://www.polygon.com/23269889/lego-atari-2600-set-release-date-price-photos-50th-anniversary
  2. This will be fun to build when it comes out: https://www.polygon.com/23037947/lego-atari-2600-details-playset-brickset-kit-release-date
  3. Would anyone be interested in this? I would be happy to organize/run; however, I don't know that we have enough Dreamcasters here based on the Forum activity so far...
  4. Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder, I guess. I've found the hq2x really helps smooth out rough edges and adds a nice crispness to text (less blurry). I like the 1080P output as it preserves the aspect ratio nicely on a Desktop Monitor that I use. I have a 70" 4K TV but haven't used the Dreamcast with it much yet.
  5. Right on, well said. One thing that I really enjoy with the DCDigital that I wasn't initially aware of is going into the Firmware settings and and setting Firmware Flavour to 'Relaxed'. Then going to Advanced Video Settings and setting the Upscaling mode to hq2x. I really like this filter!
  6. Ugh, my mistake - apologies.
  7. Here's what I went with (it's the same thing as the Noctua fan 'kits' that you can buy but cheaper): Noctua Fan Kit (link) Laser Bear Mount Kit (pick your color) (link)
  8. I recently went with both DCHDMI and MODE mods (as well as a Noctua Fan and Battery mod). One thing to be aware of with the DCHDMI - the Dreamcast has a lot of dithering (this was hidden with composite and s-video but you will absolutely notice it with the DCHDMI). It shows up as 'dots' particularly noticeable on the Dreamcast Splash screen. Someone said 'glorious HD' in a previous post - it definitely isn't what I would consider glorious HD (I would put that moniker more on modern Console systems). Don't get me wrong - the DCHDMI mod is very nice, but it is not perfect.
  9. Wing Commander is probably what put me over the top. Had a Amiga 500 (and was using it for games as well as running a Citadel BBS) but traded it in for an genuine IBM 8080 with a 20 pound keyboard. Dumb move ('replaced' my A500 by buying another one years later, the IBM, not so much - don't miss it at all)...
  10. Existing renewals will just expire, I presume? Guess I'll be using the Amazon discount...
  11. I finished the Doom 2016 Campaign on my XBox One and really enjoyed it. Played quite a bit of multiplayer on that platform as well. Recently built a high-end Gaming PC and took the Doom 2016 Campaign out for a spin in 4K - it looks incredible!! Can't wait for the DLC.
  12. Is the 'series' still going to take place?
  13. Looking forward to following along with this, thanks in advance for your efforts!
  14. For me it's a toss-up between these on the Atari 2600: Swordquest Series https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swordquest Raiders of the Lost Ark https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raiders_of_the_Lost_Ark_(video_game) Granted I was a ~13 year old so that could have contributed to the difficulty although very few gaming finishes have compared to the excitement of seeing the Ark of the Covenant finally rising on my screen in full Atari 2600 multi-color glory (including my trembling hands as I excitedly took a completion Polaroid screen shot for a contest that was going on at the time). Swordquest Series on the other hand - I never did finish...
