  1. Yeah, I'd love to hear any updates on this one. Just ordered my first 7800, so definitely looking forward to this item.
  2. Maybe that's it then. I don't have any XE carts. They're all the older brown ones except my copy of Gyruss.
  3. Maybe I'll take it apart and tinker with it a bit. The computer is pretty much brand new. Games play perfectly. Every cart is just really snug. I think the inside vertical tabs are holding onto the cart too hard somehow, which might explain the wear on the tab tips. Thanks for responding!
  4. Hi, I hope this isn't the wrong place to post a question like this; please forgive me if it isn't. I recently got an Atari XEGS, and I've noticed that it's really difficult to remove the game carts from the cart slot. Requires more strength than I feel like it ought to. I noticed the vertical tabs inside the slot have gotten rough/worn. Is there something I can do to remedy this situation? I don't want to damage the tabs anymore.
  5. I wish! I've only been collecting for a couple years. I rarely see Atari stuff at all, and usually only a few stray 2600 carts. Never seen any of the computer line or software out in the wild.
  6. Man, I got this almost exactly a year ago for around $10 USD. Wild. I'd wait. I feel like with Game Boy loose titles, especially, deals are still out there.
  7. Gyruss is amazing. The NES isn't my favorite port, because it's further from the arcade experience, but it's still a blast, especially if you get an Advantage to play it. I may not like the boss fights and whatnot, but the graphics are pretty rad.
  8. Nice pickup! As others have said, you probably won't be disappointed by what the NES has to offer. That seems like a sweet set of games to start with; I'm a big fan of a lot of the arcade ports for the console, too. I was just playing some Galaga, also, earlier today! You asked for pics; I tried to find one, but this is the best I can do at the moment. A recent pic from when I was playing Kung Fu. You can see my top loader on the right, and my AV Famicom to the left of it.
