  1. The cx21 is functionally the same as the kids controller (which includes several Sesame Street games released by Atari) and the keyboard controller (again used by several early Atari games). That entire class of games cannot be played on the 2600+
  2. +1 to this. There are several games we can’t use because of the lack of support
  3. If it makes Atari money and keeps them afloat, then let them have at it
  4. I don’t suppose fixes for the touchpad are in the making at all? Would love to play Star Raiders on the 2600+
  5. Miraculously I don’t hear any clicking during gameplay on my 2600+. However I get a weird sound blip of some kind when the 2600+ finishes its loading and starts to display the game. I didn’t remember Pitfall Harry looking so… magenta. But game plays otherwise normal. My SN is something like 50400 and was a preorder. The console’s version is Version 1.0. The cart is NTSC. Playing on a Samsung 4k tv with game mode on. Going to count myself lucky I guess. (Edited to clean up my bad grammar a tiny bit)
  6. I suppose now is not a good time for all of us to hold hands and sing Kumbuyah?
  7. Just a wild idea that's probably too out of the box, but is it possible to send write commands to the cart dumper? The idea being... is it possible to send code through the dumper that commands the ARM/DPC/DPC+ to dump contents from some A offset to B offset to a RAM space that is visible to the cart dumper and can be read by it? Have it repeat until some stopping condition? I know what I'm asking about is way out there or can be easily dismissed as naive perhaps. But it was a thought on how to dump those carts using a co-processor and possesses memory that's not immediately visible to the rom dumper.
  8. As perverse as this is going to sound, I've been powering my 2600+ off the Nintendo Switch base station's USB port.... so far no problems, but I don't have Kangaroo, Hero or California Games to test
  9. Are you sure you don’t have a volume leveler or something like that set on you TV? I’ve actually seen this on a Vizio TV but not on a different TV I tried with the modern VCS (not to be confused with the 2600 or 2600+)
  10. Sara is supported since if I'm not mistaken that the Sara chip is there for Dig Dug and I believe Stargate at the very least. I think out of a list of these games, the only one that I'm aware of that doesn't work is Super Football (this list came from another forum thread here: Crystal Castles Dark Chambers Defender II Desert Falcon Dig Dug Fatal Run Jr. Pac-Man KLAX Millipede Off the Wall Radar Lock Secret Quest Sprintmaster Stargate Super Football
  11. Well, the only Homebrews I know of that work on the 2600+ are Juno First and Tower of Rubble; both of which I would recommend. However I think only Tower of Rubble would be on sale on Atari Age right now.
  12. I’d like to give it a go. Have several CBS games including Mountain King. Other games include Burger Time, and Robot Tank. Have Star Raiders with touchpad. Have Windows PC
  13. Tower of Rubble works on the 2600+ and it’s a fun game as well!
  14. I find it kind of funny that I’m powering the Atari 2600+ on the Nintendo Switch base station
